Discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, is not always prohibited by law in the real world but that sucks. What I'm getting at is: Kayla isn't a lawyer and neither am I. Discrimination is wrong, though, and honestly we should be better than that.
Kayla is going into her senior year with just about everything--good grades and the class presidency--when her childhood friends, Rebecca and Rocko Tennyson move back into town. Kayla's friendship with Tennysons picks right up where they left it three years prior, and, good thing, too, as the three discover they need each other's support now more than ever.
This comic is composed of...hand painted, water color + ink pen back grounds, pen on paper illustrated props, Fashion Polly Pockets (circa 2002), staged and photographed, with some digital art additions (mostly shirts), formatted with Canva. Just in case you're curious about process!
