This page gave me so much grief, I swear. I had the sketch for this sitting around for a while, and when I finally was able to go back and work on it, I ended up wanting to change basically everything. I decided to just modify pieces of it and go from there, but then I realized I didn't really like the dialogue so I changed that, too. The dialogue is honestly still kinda janky and awkward and I'm super sorry about that. This page will (hopefully) be an exception quality-wise/ jankiness-wise and I'll make sure to better plan out future pages.
Also, blushy-faced Hunter was my favorite thing to draw on this page and you can barely see it cause of the lighting. Ah well!
HUGE EDIT: I finished making some changes to this page, and hopefully that helps the story flow a bit, mostly on my end. I'm hoping this doesn't completely destroy the pacing, and I hope (I apparently love that word) y'all end up liking where this goes. Not to go off on a tangent, but I was worried that diving into the diary for a while would just be piles of exposition that I didn't want to write, and I figured no one would want to sit through that without it being given in an interesting, natural way as the story goes on (if that makes sense). The pacing may be a bit off for a bit in places, and I'm super sorry for that, but I like to think it's just the growing pains of a new comic from a newbie comic artist. Thanks for sticking with me ^^
Fairylanders; the people who possess magical trinkets called Lockets, using their power to change the world. However, some Fairylanders, like the Wizard, have chosen to use their Lockets for nefarious purposes.
A young Fairylander named Red has chosen to stand against the Wizard and his schemes, calling upon the aid of several unexpected and slightly strange allies with powers like hers. However, no one ever said saving the world would be easy, and when a legendary Fairylander might be involved? Well, that's all part of the fun, isn't it?
