The last days of the festival are approaching. I had gotten back into work (I was allowed back on) and I was needed in the fashion section, more specifically, the boutique section. I am the fastest out of them and can make the clothes right before the customer's eyes. The booth that I'm in allows me to go to the food section with little to no difficulty. The customers see how they aren't going to win in any sort of haggling as I have been stopped from turning a particularly persistent haggler into pavement crack filler by getting distracted by Professor Sin (addressing both) by being asked to make them something to freshen up their wardrobe. More specifically they want to try out my style although Professor Victor is a goth and Professor Wallis is an elegant and almost oceanic man. They told me that they'll try anything at least once. If there's one thing that can easily distract me from going on a rampage, it's having willing dress up dolls. I have a lot of ideas for these two and it's not just my own style of dress. I have been more than happy with dressing them up.
If you think it's just those two that became my models, you clearly have a great faith in humanity. Everyone has become my dolls at one point especially when I'm directly facing these kinds of people. I even got to dress up Professor Horatius.
The last event is the prizes for the art competition as closing and the cementing of final judgement. The ending is fucking glorious and something that I am very much proud of. It should've ended once all of the animals have been adopted but unfortunately it wasn't up to us, it was up to our human counterparts. And they demanded that the festival end at 9:30pm. But all of them have been given the perfect forever homes. Legit there's no furry, scaly or winged cutie left once all was said and done. I smirk as I stand around with the other Hybrids as The Draconic Muses (an all girl band...all hybrids as well), played their show. The other people standing with us. We Hybrids stand with the masses to perfectly show that we can blend in with normal people but we sure as hell ain't normal people.
"Thank you Estelle College!" The Leader of the group, Piper shouted, "now give the stage to Professor Horatius Estelle's beloved headmaster!" she says as they all quickly made them scarce by using their abilities to completely clear the stage, replacing them with our headmaster. Wearing the silver and white suit that I outfitted him with. "Thank you girls!" he says holding the microphone that Piper once held.
He smiles as he addresses the crowd.
"I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you all have come out for this festival. Although some of you." He and every other Hybrid just smiles, especially myself and Lumin, "may not have enjoyed it as much as everyone else. To be honest, you brought that on yourself." he continues and the other humans begins laughing because it is true, "I can confidently say that we all at Estelle are very happy with how this festival had turned out. Especially with how hard we all had worked and all that we sacrificed in order to make this festival as wonderful as you had experienced firsthand." He continues with a smile, "and we have the injuries and electrical scars to prove it!" Wallis introjects, causing the audience to laugh, "Wallis. You and your husband will be fully compensated for missing your anniversary and three date nights. Please calm down." Horatius says to the green haired beauty, making a lot of the audience begin whispering to one another, Wallis let out a small hiss causing the other male, his husband to calm him down. "Now as we are wrapping up. Before we send our last hurrah, it is time for the prizes for the Art Competition. And I can assure it, it was a very close race. Crystallia, we're having a chat about your vow of nonbragging after this." he finishes the spotlight shining on me and I smile a smug smile as he calls me out. "Now give it up for our announcer and Head of Discipline, Mason Iron!" Horatius hands our Head of Discipline appears onto the screen, he's clearly mixed race of olive and coffee skin and a youthful look to him while still having multiple scars, his purplish grayish hair slicked back and looks good (the only one alive that can pull that off), his glowing brownish gold eyes with a monocle over his right eye, dressed in a beautiful black, red and gold three piece suit and above his head in holographic digital bubbles are the two pieces of brilliantly made art, one being my painting and another being a statue of a woman (more than likely a goddess) surrounded by cats some are outright flying and a cat in her arms with what looks like or resembles wings on it's back and it's halo like band on it's head, with what looks like a fang sticking out of it's mouth. All made of different metals, mainly that of copper of different varieties.
"These two pieces of art. One made by one of our own students and another made by an incredibly gifted individual that came to the festival." He states calmly. All of the audience are amazed by the artwork, he then made them both vanish. "And the winner is." he begins, seeing the winner and a bubble reappears, "Miss Crystallia Depths!" my painting reappears, all of Estelle College just erupts in cheers and I was lifted onto the shoulders of Caesar and Lumin. I'm frankly very surprised, "Now, now. I know that many of you are excited. But before anyone were to cry foul. Allow me to show you why she won." He snaps his fingers and the bubble immediately darkens...and my painting begins to glow. Revealing all sorts of details and lighting up so much around it, especially around Aang. It almost doesn't look like the same painting, if anything it looks like two separate painting in one but they work seamless together. "This little surprise was what won her the gold. Frankly we all should've seen this coming as she doesn't leave any stones unturned." He says and some are still trying to come up with a reason to cry foul but then remember that it has gone through the cut throat judging from every kind of critic and artist that the world has to offer. I have been carried to the stage by the two males. I had gotten the trophy made of crystal and glass with gold and silver. I hold a surprise smile as I hold the trophy, holding my name engraved on it. "That's not all and since that you won the competition, you'll have one of the best prizes that we have to offer." he explains and lights shined revealing of what was hidden. On different platforms are glorious prizes: a mannequin filled to a full outfit with hair accessories and matching jewelry sets on one platform, jewelry sets of different varieties, makeup, health and beauty products, thick books filled with coupons and tickets, stacks of cards be it membership or gift cards, new art supplies, and a goddamn car. "And to finish it all off. A cheque." he hands me a sealed envelope, "for six-hundred billion dollars." he finishes and all jaws drop for the humans while the Hybrid's had visible looks of shock. I nearly dropped the trophy from the amount. I accepted it and bowed low in appreciation to him and to the audience. Well, almost everyone.
Kilo and Talon seem to be completely unfazed by the cash that I had just won, in fact they almost seem annoyed if not outright offended.
