I think this is the first joke that has parallels with my 6-years-ago enhanced rewrite of the game's script. In it, Amy also got the idea for the team name from a Pecha Berry she was carrying with her since the colors matched her and Chikorita's.

As for me? It just happens to be my most favorite berry due to me liking the way it looked, and its name makes for a great-sounding team name as well. And it was certainly a lot catchier than "Team Lilypuff", that's for sure!

Of course, we all know that the team's name is actually Team Pecha instead of Team Pecha Berry. Why? Well...let's just say that anyone who's ever tried to name a team in this game (or name anything in any other game, really) can probably guess in like seconds what the joke of the next comic will be.
