You know why kid's programming and cartoons are the best? Because they are timeless. They tend to stay true and dependable. They don't pull a Lindsay Lohan, or have mental meltdowns like Amanda Bynes. Of course, they generally don't involve human child actors who are immersed in the world of money and fame, but that is one of the things that make the art form genuine and good. I can count on Thomas the Tank Engine never leaving the Island of Sodor for the lure of big city success. I know that He-Man and Fat Albert's gang will always be right where I left them (although SNL did do a funny VH1 'Where Are They Now' on Fat Albert once).
This week's comic would obviously never happen - which is why I feel good about allowing my family to enjoy cartoons and shows like Thomas and Friends. I'm looking for the day iCarly is locked up for trafficking, while the kids who watched that show wonder what happened to her and why she can't stay out of rehab. It's hypothetical of course, but you get the idea...
:D I saw a comic of where Sir Topham Hatt or whatever was giving instruction to the trains and then in the last panel he was in a straight jacket talking to imaginary trains and he was in that square padded room. Your comic reminded me of that. This is an awesome comic.
***** You'll notice a gap between #3 and #12 - this is because my mini Batman web comic 'The Real Killing Joke' ran from #4 to #11. That series can also be found here on Tapastic *****
