See this is why I like Tapas better than Webtoon-- i can expand panels here to enjoy all the meticulous detail you've put into this amazing comic. Like how this is the first time i noticed the mech being "repurposed" is actually strapped down (not unconscious like i thought the first time i read this) and has had all his claws ripped out and is bleeding from the wounds that horrific act has left behind. The next panel emphasizes how machina acutely perceive and understand this fate at the hands of indifferent ferum by Rex sending power (intentionally or unintentionally?) to his own claws while he resignedly examines them. We're all brought back to the moment in the apartment, however,
the second we notice Liquorice contentedly curled up on Rex's leg.
Just brilliant storytelling. LOVING THIS!
These details are really painting a grim picture for machina in this world, even though it seems like these big bruisers could easily wipe out their creators if they so chose. Perhaps ferum keenly understand this and this fear adds to their brutality toward them. Why do the machina put up with this treatment i wonder? And How in the world is Rex so kind after all this?
Oh, and Grammar Banana says "lose", not "loose" i think. ;o)
Isa's mundane life is completely changed when the government finds out that she is a chimera- a hybrid of two unrelated genus. Navigating an unforgiving society Isa befriends a demobilized war machine named Rex, whose past is much darker and violent than she may realize.
A story about who you are versus what the world wants you to be.
