Blurry eyes wake up to find his lover sound asleep beside him. Streams of moonlight slip down through crack between the curtains. Sleepy eyes drink in the vision before him. The person he had wanted close the most was finally there. The sounds of the swirling wind outside and the soft patting on the ground told him a light shower will turn into a small storm. He didn't have the heart to care. Eyes remained fixated on moonlight that streamed through the curtain falling onto his Tender's face. His lips parted taking in the cool air of the night. Their close brush with death made him all the more important to him. His smirk widens as he watches the man begins to mumble in his sleep. Granite leans in hearing him murmuring in his sleep.

“I want- I want -”

“What do you want?” He whispers playfully.

“I want burgers.”

A light laugh escapes, causing him to wince in pain. It was worth it as far as he was concerned. He dreamed of this view for a long time. It was so worth the wait. “Sleep longer burgers will be waiting for you when you wake.” Granite was barely able to hide the grin in his voice.

Slate stretches his arms out as he lets out a yarn. “Then you will have to do.” He claps his arm about the man's neck pulling him close as he playfully nips his nose.

“Well if I must be sacrificed then so be it." His humor now radiates in his tone. Their noses brush lovingly as he fondly nips by at his chin.

Barbara sat at her desk reviewing everything they had on the mystery lawless criminal. All to her frustration end up all of nothing. (I know we are missing something. ) She released her hair from their bondage, only to torture them by raking her hand through them.

(If I could just figure out what it is, then I can get a leg up on this guy.) She drew in a sharp breath. (Just what kind of crazy bastard can put the fear of the devil in someone?)

Jase the officer that rode back with them earlier walks in with their nighttime munchies. “Barb are you still at it?” He places her late dinner on the desk.

“She refused to give it a rest. Her all-seeing eye is going to find something new overnight." Randal remarked sarcastically.

She quickly cast him a death stare.

Jase rolled his eyes. "So help me Ran if you set her off tonight. I will be the one who does you in." He sits the man's food down, speaking in a more gentle tone. "Let's play nice, hmm. We are on the same side. I just got pulled on the case with you guys. I don't want any trouble, just a job well done so I can stay in this unit."

“She is always turning evil in the bat of an eye.” He rolls his eyes as he unpacks his food.

“Let's not pretend you don't play a part in it, my friend." He leans down and whispers. "Learn to play nice and move to her good side. She's not so scary when you learn how to talk to her, but you always put your foot in your mouth. And releases the dark beast within. "

“I GOT IT!" Barbara jumped from her chair causing both men to yelp in panic.

“Got what ?” Jase squeaked out.

“Trouble happens every time we get to this area of town. He takes different entries casting the scope wide but it is definitely in this area. We need to focus our effort here.”

“Easier said than done, but I'm willing to give it a go." Randal smirks. "I guess you do have an all-seeing eye. "

She flashes a smile. “And here I thought you had already figured it out.” She winks. “I can’t wait to find out the face behind the evil wake.”

Granite pulls him close kissing the bridge of his nose, then the lips. Trailing slowly wanted only to brand his vision deep into his mind. "You should probably sleep a little longer. You had a very eventful day. "

“I finally awakened from a long, tiring, painful nightmare. Why would I want to sleep now? He wraps his arm about his waist, making few pinches to his side. "Disappear from my life again and see what I do when I find you again. You can go off-grid in everyone else's life but mine. That is definitely a command. Just so we are clean. " He could feel the guy's laughter rumble against his own rib cage.

“Yes sir. Orders had been received. Stick to a steady diet of Tender meat every day for life.” He dips his head to kiss him passionately before moving along his neck.

“Glad we made things clear. I think things will get a little crazy from here on out.” He gaps as he feels a nip on his shoulder.

“Been living in crazy land for a long time now. Nothing new here.” His hand roamed across his back cradling their bodies together. “Except I discovered a new beautiful few. I’ll  share it with you. ”

“How can I decline such a grand invitation.” He reaches out and pulls his lips from the trail along his chest, back to his own.

As the storm picks up and rages outside a stronger one rage inside behind the closed door of a warm home.
