Ch. 4 - The First Day of Junior Year  (3 of 3)

He blessed the classroom with his presence. He walked out of the classroom, and I followed right behind him with my bag in hand. 

"So, Welcome to Williams High School." I started the tour as I would with any other new student. "Before we continue with the tour, I'm going to stop  by my locker real quick." He nodded and followed me to my locker. 

As we headed that way, he never said a word. He seemed like a quiet kid, but his looks say he's a bad boy. I really shouldn't like him, but I can't help it. He has a King like presence that is hard to resists. We came upon my locker, and he turned to look at me. His eyes drew me into him. 

"Is this your locker?" he said breaking the trance I was in. 

"Yes, it is," I opened my locker and toss my bag in it. "Do you want to put your bag in while I take you on the tour?"

"No, I'm good, thanks."

"Alrighty," I said shutting my locker. "Let's head to the school store first, seeing how it's the first thing you see coming into the school."

He nodded and followed. Within the whole tour, he never said a word. Even with the silence he gave, I told him the rules and everything he should know. We had reached the ending of the tour, when I decided to ask, "That's it. However, can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

"Why did you move here on the mainland?"

"My mother cheated on my father, and he wanted a divorce. My grandmother decided to take us in. My grandmother is one of the Mainland founders, so it wasn't like she didn't have space for us. Does that satisfy your question?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry into your personal life."

"It's whatever," he said as he walked to his next class.

'Great, I ruin my chance with the new hot guy,' I thought.

"Ally!" I heard my name from behind my shoulders.

"Dana?"

"So, how did it go with the hot guy?"

"I don't think he likes me very much."
