Soul raised the flame oak spoon to his lips he could feel the warmth of the magic coming off the spoon keeping his food warm. The smell of the flame lamb stew that his mother cooked slowly entered his nose, the smell of perfectly cooked meat along with her choice of seasoning and spices forcing a smile on his face. The warmth of the stew grazed his lips as he raised the spoon into his mouth. He could feel his mouth start to water as he could almost taste it just from the smell. A beating on the front door stopped him in his tracks. He looked over at his family with the same look that they were giving him pure confusion; they had no idea who could be in the middle of the country at this hour.

Soul sighs, setting his spoon down a small tear rolling down his cheek knowing his food would be cold by the time he got back and entered the hallway.

As he entered the hallway the beating from the front door was joined by screaming and cussing soul sighed even harder knowing now that it was probably something gang-related and not something important so he took his time walking to the front door looking at almost all his family's pictures that filled the walls of his home they dated back to when he was first adopted and even when kannui was a baby he kep looking until he finally was at the front door and the beating and yelling were almost deafening. 

Soul let out one more sigh before grabbing the door handle and slowly opened it he could feel the warmth coming off the door as he opened it probably due to it being made out of flame oak and the handle and frame are made out of armored wolf bones nasty things but strong bodys made of metal make good building material.

The door opened fully as a blinding light poured in hitting soul right in the eyes blinding him as he went to cover his eyes to see he was met with a fist to the face that had enough power alone that it would have sent a normal man flying for miles but soul didn't move a muscle he just kep looking at the men.

A few seconds later a blood-curdling scream could be heard.

 kannui shot out of his seat planning on saving his little brother but then heard a grown man crying about what the white-haired kid was made of and how he broke his hand this made him smile a bit but he was also on edge now from them just attacking like that he stood the in the hall doorway and listen in on what they were talking about.

Soul stood his ground unfazed by the man's hit. He moved the door open all the way so kannui could get a read on the situation so he didn't just attack. kannui looked past his brother to see ten men filling his front yard, one on the ground holding a mangled bloody fist with tears rolling down his face like a child.  The hurt man looked up at soul from the ground with child-like hate for not getting his way and then looked over at what soul thought to be the leader of the group wanting some sort of sympathy. The leader only looked back at the man with hate and discussed him for being weak.

Soul got tired of the games these guys were playing in his yard and finally spoke up but before he could speak he was cut off by the gang leader.

Gang Leader: what are you a child 

He kicks the man laying on the ground holding his hand crying right in the gut making him throw up this made soul a bit sick to see a pack treat their family like this 

Gang leader: get on your feet you worthless wolf  you are no better than an omega sitting there crying over a wound that will heal in minutes you bring shame to the shifter clan 

Hurt man: but sir it hurts so bad it was like punching a wall he didn't just break my hand he shattered it  please have mercy  this was not normal at all he didn't even move from the punch 

The hurt man spoke back as he tried to get to his feet trying to avoid eye contact with his alpha as he finally got to his feet. His alpha backhanded him so hard he flew 50 feet then slid through a flame oak fence that his father built many years ago. This angered soul from the cruelty to one's family to the destruction of something his father had worked hard to make. this made his weights slowly start adding weight to his body as an anti-fighting system that was built into them to keep him and others safe.

The alpha looked over from the wolf he just sent flying and over at soul who was still standing at the front door watching the show that they were putting on the alpha smiles showing rows of sharp teeth and does a slight bow in a cocky way to show disrespect soul rolled eyes as he hears kannui starting to get upset from behind him 

Alpha: hello farmers we are from the shifter clan we have just taken over this territory from the demon clan so you will be paying protection money to the shifters now 

Soul: look guys after the show you guys just gave me and my family I'm not sure if you guys are shifters or clowns because I know I got a good laugh out of the show I just watched but unless I see some proof  that the demons were ran off by you goofballs  I'm going to need you to leave before you guys scare the flame sheep off into the woods

The alphas head slowly starts to shift his eye slowly drifting  apart forming into cold dead black eyes his hair fading away along with his ears leaving his skin a leathery   black and white his nose slightly grows as his mouth  begins to grow larger along with rows of sharp teeth he lets out a grow  as he eyes soul up and down with a hungry look in his eyes

Soul: umm you some kind of shark pervert or something  because the look your giving me is real child touchy and it's making me feel real uncomfortable man  

Soul moves his hands over his crotch and move his arm over his chest and takes the pose of a scared school girl then sticks  his tongue out  the alphas  looked shocked and speechless as his men begin to snicker behind  him he  looks back his face flustered well as flustered as a shark can be and try to speak

Alpha: w..w..what im no child toucher 

The alpha takes a deep breath calming himself and begins to work his way up the stairs but before he could get to the top soul lets out a girlish scream catching the alpha off guard this makes him back down the stairs not really knowing what to do at this point

Soul: I guess I was right you are a pervert you came up here to put your hands on me and  do perverted things 

Soul put on a teary-eyed face and covered himself again the alpha was more annoyed at this point than embarrassed  and began to get angry when he heard a few of his pack call him a pervert with a hate full look in his eyes he got a devilish idea and smiled showing all his shark teeth  and the rows behind them and then calmed himself and began to speak

Alpha: you know what BRAT we did take over this territory  from the demons and I really don't care what kind of deal you had with them if it was peace if you guys paid for protection with them we are in charge now and you guys owe us money now pay up or we might have a problem here

Soul:ohhh brat you say even tho you brought nine men on my land that my family has own for years claiming it's yours attacking me with no say hurting your men for not doing his job then threatening a 14-year-old boy for money that's more childish than a brat tho we sale wool shark head we cause no problems so were left alone but if you want problems we can have them 

Alpha: you  know what either  you, your bitch of a brother and that Irish cow you call a mother pay what you owe  or were going to burn this shit hole down and kill each one of you starting with that whore first  and make you watch and you can't do anything to stop us

Soul breath caught in his throat as he heard his mother begin to cry behind him their cruel words cutting her deep. souls weights grow heavier tripling in weight trying to stop his movements he could hear heavy breathing and a clicking coming from behind him get closer as lighting can also be heard behind him slowly get closer .he slowly started bending the doorknob out of anger his eyes starting to glow red as the whites of his eyes start to turn black he was shaking he was so angry the alpha thought that soul was scared and started walking up the stairs with the motive to push his point across until he reached the top of the stares and made eye contact with soul. he stepped back looking at souls face seeing a face that would scare the devil himself. he grunted in pain as he tried to hold himself up the weights were taking their toll on his body normally he didn't fight back this long but the alpha took this as a growl it scared him even more until he heard a deeper growl coming from behind  soul and all he saw were glowing purple eye arcing with power as a storm of lighting circled them he flew back words off the porch now knowing why the moon ranch was off-limits for so many years and now regretting coming here himself his men began to talk trash but the alpha gave him a look of death and fear the made soul smile a bit his human teeth were now sharp like a wolfs and began to speak

Soul: you made three mistakes when coming here shifters 

The alpha looks back at soul with fear as he begins to talk soul fought his wights to stay up his body about to give out on him he smiles  as sweat begins to beat down his head  as he felt a headrest on his back breathing hot heavy breaths followed by the sound of acting lighting the men see the lighting and begin to step back

Soul: one research the family your about to attack there's a reason the clans in this area respect our family and left us alone 

He could feel the beasts anger  behind him as claws scratch at the floor leaving a slow scratching noise in the air

Soul: two my mother is a goddess among women and you should be blessed to walk on the same land as her

He feels the beast gripping his back not able to hold himself back anymore a loud growl begins to come from behind soul he could feel the heat increase as the beast bore its teeth 

Soul: and three my brother is no bitch he is a god in human clothing

As those words left souls mouth his body finally gave out his eyes going a blur as he collapsed to the floor showing his older brother standing behind him lighting arcing off him like a lightning storm. Two lions made of energy circled his legs eyeing their masters pray snarling with a look of hunger. kannui let out a roar so loud that it shook the surrounding area he glared at the men that threaten his family with lighting arcing through his eyes giving them a purple glow his sharp teeth beared like a predator ready to strike as he gripped the door frame with his black claws. the men on the ground looked at kannui with death and fear in their eyes as he launched off the porch and onto the ground his eyes scanned the group as his lions pounced onto his back merging into his body and forming energy like armor his body tensed up as it was being overflowed with energy and he smiled looking around and the men who seemed more like boys now.

Kannui: ok boys whos ready to die first

He launched forward at a speed that most shifters or magic users couldn't  keep up with as an arc of lightning followed him  his fist met with a man's gut causing the man to cough up blood and  be sent flying back into a tree kannui then flips back  legs spread apart landing  on two of the men's heads  knocking them out  before he could go for another attack  he was stopped by a scream kannui looked over from where the noise came from and saw it was the alpha he had shifted back into his human form to show  he was no threat 

Alpha: ok ok will leave please just stop you made your point very clear that we are no match for you

Kannui sighed as the energy left his body and flowed into two wooden bread bracelets that were on his left wrist that had strange carvings on them that glowed as the energy entered them all kannui did was just nod not even wanting to  talk to this man all he did was watch the other men pick up there fallen and watched them stumble off after making sure they were gone kannui made his way  back over to soul who was being taken care of by their mother 

kannui: is he ok mother

Mis. moon: he will be fine love he just passed out from the stress that his training weights put on his body is all he will be out probably till tonight 

She smiled and kissed the top of souls head as he laid there asleep, his head resting on her lap.
