Nine conjured wind-based spells with me covering while he did. It had me question why such a long chant is needed.

A wind blade similar to Nine's slashed a Giant wolf down.

Nine looked back at me "Are you serious?!"

"What can I say, I learn fast" With a smirk on my face I kept on launching the wind blade. In all honesty, it made me quicker.

"How did you cast it on your first try?"- Nine 

"I would concentrate if I were you"

The subjugation continued until dusk, there were about 40 slain beasts and those that remained retreated out of instinct and fear. 

Nami was covered with blood from head to toe "Nami are you alright?" Being a Nyako, meant that she used her claws to tear through her enemies, explaining why she was covered in beast blood, but I still wanted to know if she was injured.

"Yes, Hiyori-sama" 

I took a handkerchief and started wiping her face off, Takashi didn't have a single speck on him … As expected.

"Are you okay Takashi?"

"Yes, I am uninjured. Hiyori-sama do you perhaps think we will get rewarded for the beasts we slay? I eradicated 3"

"I believe so, that way we can buy some sugar and salt as well, I'm tired of unflavored food" I made an awkward laugh and continued rubbing Nami's face.

"Nami, I don't think my handkerchief will be of much help, once we return to town, we should go to an inn to wash ourselves up"

"Haiiii"-Nami

Takashi felt someone gazing on us, he placed his hand over the hilt of his sword.

 

It was Nine who had a puzzled look, I patted Takashi on his shoulder to make him relax. In all reality, Nine did not pose a threat to us but it was unnerving having him look at us.

"Those injured get yourselves treated in the Medical tent, the rest come"-Zartras 

"Let's go Nami and Takashi"

"Hiyori-sama are we not going to do something about that person" Takashi

"If he does attack, I have no qualms about him losing his life, so do not worry"

"This subjugation has ended with no casualties, the rewards will be given put accordingly to your performance" He glanced at our group "You three, you just registered?"

Since I could not speak hyuman tongue, and Takashi just didn't like speaking to them, Nami answered 

"Yes, we just registered this afternoon"

"How many beasts did you guys kill on your own?"-Zartras 

He seemed to have noticed that we did not team up with any of the others and seeing that Nami didn't answer immediately 

"Let me rephrase this, how many did you take down individually?"

 She turned to me looking for an answer, I nodded it wouldn't hurt to have a good reputation.

"Takashi took three down, Hiyori-sama eradicated ten or so, and I killed two" 

Gazes directed to us started to increase ones of admiration, but the ones that bother me are those of greed it has a nasty feeling to them.

"I see, once we get to the guild you will be promoted of ranks. But you will have to take a test individually"

Nami nodded her head and dashed towards Takashi and me to hide behind us, it seems I am not the only one bothered by the gazes.

"I guess we killed two bird with one stone"

"Birds?" both Takashi and Nami

"Yes, ranking up means that the jobs we get are better paid and there will be fewer problems…" 

Gazing my surroundings several of those who had been sizing us up had left. But I'm sure that there will be problems regardless. Hyumans… are greedy creatures.

"Nami, can you ask the Guild master if it is okay for us to head out before the rest, as well that we will take our loot"

"Yes, Hiyori-sama"

Nami approached the guild master and started conversing with him while we collected our beasts, Nine came near us…

"Are you heading out first?"-Nine 

"Yes" 

"Will you answer what I asked earlier?"-Nine

"I told you already, I'm a quick learner"

"It takes more than just to be a quick learner…"

Ignoring him we continued to pull the beasts, Nine tried to grab my wrist but before he could do so Takashi held his sword to his neck

"Stop pestering Hiyori-sama, there will not be a next warning"-Takashi 

"Takashi leave us for a moment" 

He gave Nine a menacing look and walked away

"Look it is for your own good if you don't pry for information"

"Oh, is that a threat?"- Nine

"A fair warning, you seem decent but we have our reasons to keep our lives to ourselves"

Nine gave me a dubious look and sighed.

"Okay, I get. But can you tell that guy to stop looking at me as I were already dead meat"

"uhhh sure" 

"Hiyori-sama, we're done, can we go now I stink of beasts"-Nami

"Well Nine, I left your loot so make sure to cash it out. See ya around"

Nami and I went towards Takashi who had a pile of 12 beasts, I left two behind for Nine since he fought with me.

He had a dumbfounded look on his face, but before he could reach us, he heard a chant

After arriving at the border of the town wall we placed the wolfs in my spacial pocket. 

Takashi and Nami went to the guildhall to ask for an inn, they startled the receptionist almost causing her faint.

I don't blame her, I mean two non-hyumans covered in blood can lead your imagination to get a wrong idea.

In the end, she recommended The Wild Boar, it cost us one silver and two copper coins for the two bedrooms.

I still don't have a general idea of the value of money here, but Nami mentioned that it was a bit expensive.

After bathing we went to sleep...
