Today’s strip is an entrant into Jon Esparza’s “Crazy Cartoon Experiment Rewind” (click to check it out), where Jon gives artists 4 themes to choose from, of which the artist will create a cartoon based on their own interpretation. There were many amazing comic pieces done – all of which can be found here.
I chose “A helium filled dog floating precariously close to a cactus”, and the above comic was the first thing that popped into my head. It was a fun way to do something for another artist, and also timed to fit this Thanksgiving week. The most fun Macy’s parades I’ve ever watched were the one’s that were super windy, creating a challenge for the balloon handlers in particular.
Make sure to visit Jon’s website, and follow him on Twitter as well. He is a blast, and full of great ideas. He is also my closest connection to Comic-Con International in San Diego.
***** You'll notice a gap between #3 and #12 - this is because my mini Batman web comic 'The Real Killing Joke' ran from #4 to #11. That series can also be found here on Tapastic *****
