Gray's Giraffe genes were also coming in handy as they could reach higher.

That morning they had quickly discussed who'd work on what.

It didn't take long to decide that Penny would help Floris to make more tools while Gigi and Gray would finish yesterday's work.

Gigi sighed as she looked at the finished product. Finally it was done now they just had to properly store their things.

,, I'll take care of storing the things and you can look after the plants."

Gray came up behind her already loaded with different resources in hand.

,,Will do."

Is all she said as she made her way over to her small field.

If she could she would work on the field more instead of just leaving it there like that.

As the mouse hybrid walked over to the lake to gather some water with a self-made bowl a message popped up from her communicator.

|Royal: How's it going?

Gigi looked around fixating her red eyes on Gray before looking back at her communicator.

|Gigi: As good as it can go trying to survive in an unknown place.

What did the God suddenly want. It had only been four days since they've been sent here.

|Royal: Did you think about your request yet?

It was one of the things mentioned at the beginning. Each person that was chosen to live with this faith was granted one request from him.

 ,Why should I have thought about that.' is all she thought as she started typing.

|Gigi: Not really

The mouse slowly made her way back as she remembered her task at hand.

One of her favourites actually as she loved gardening.

The hybrid kept her eyes on the communicator waiting for a reply.

|Royal: You can ask for anything you want

,Anything, huh' Gigi started typing out her answer when just as she was about to finish Gray appeared behind her.

,,Gigi, are you ok?" The giraffe gently laid a hand in her shoulder as she finished her reply and hit enter in slight panic.

,,Yeah, what's up?"

She closed the communicator and looked at Gray hoping he wouldn't notice the previous shock.

,,You kind of just stood there and I got worried." He knelt down a bit to look Gigi in the face. Gray slowly put a hand up to Gigi's face waiting for a nod before they proceeded.

,,I'm alright really."

Gigi grabbed the hand on her cheek as she slowly lifted it back off patting it.

,,If you say so."

Gray slowly rose to his original height and looked towards the other two by the hut.

,,Let's see if we can help them or find something else that needs to be done."

The giraffe walked up front and Gigi right behind.

,,Need a hand?"

Gigi asked as she reached out her own towards them.

,,It would be lovely if you'd help us making the last sword and some bowls."

So they sat down and worked.

They would need the swords to fight and the bowls for food and gathering all kinds of things.

Eventually they would even make proper gardening tools.

Gigi couldn't stop fantasizing about the new tools and what she could do with them.

,,How are the crops doing Gigi?"

The brown haired hybrid was suddenly pulled from her fantasies.

,,They're doing great. It will probably take 3 more days until we can harvest them."

Luckily crops grew quick but they also required loads of water and sun in exchange.

,, That's good now we need to find out how to filter our water."

Floris was right they might have been doing well with food and their builds but there still were some important problems.

,, Don't we still each have a wish from the god?" Gray chimed in. Was it a coincidence or did they see Gigi. That question would be left unanswered but he was still right.

,,That's right. We should carefully request something."

Penny pointed out as the group started brainstorming ideas.

,,What about a portal to the portal harbour?"

Gray suggested but he immediately got unsure looks.

,,I don't know. It's not certain he would give it to us."

Penny voiced her thoughts and the others agreed. Gray however wasn't giving up.

,,If we're smart we can negotiate for it."

The giraffe was confident of their idea ready to share his views.

,,Even if we do get it what do we do without money?"

Gigi raised her eyebrow looking at Gray whose confidence in Idea has by no means gone down.

,,Easy solution. Get a Job, sell things or beg." He pointed up a finger for each possibility and the others had gone quiet.

Afterall it did seem like a good plan if they do receive the portal stone.

Since the actual amulet was quite expensive going through the most other portals was free so they could access various places for their needs.

,,Now one of us just has to as to the god."

Floris concluded their discussion.

,,I'll do it."

Gray almost immediately offered pulling out his communicator already looking for the contact.

,,Wish me luck." They giggled and the others nodded and kept working.

It took about 30 minutes as Penny taught the others how to correctly construct their tools while Gray looked like he was going to give up.

That is until he gave off a victorious giggle from and raised their hand in a fist.

,,You made it?"

Floris reached out to pat Gray on the shoulder as he replied ,,yep!".

 ,,There is however a catch."

Gray quickly put away his communicator then quickly looked back at the others.

,,We can only spend 8 hours a week there each or we get electrocuted."

'quite gracious' Gigi thought to herself considering that 4 hours for everyone could be quite helpful.

,,Before he's giving us the amulet she wants us to kill any monster we see tonight."

This made everyone stop in their tracks once again. They had been off lucky the past few days but they still didn't know about everything out there.

,,Let's pray that nothing crazy shows up today."

Penny looked down at the bowl she was carving.

They carefully kept working on whatever they had in hand then prepared the campfire.

If they finished up the day quickly they wouldn't have to worry about fighting anything. They each sat with a potato on a stick held into the fire.

It wasn't easy to pay attention to both their food and surroundings but they couldn't do any different.

As if by pure luck nothing had crossed their path until the food was gone.

In relief the small group gift ready for sleep when they noticed some small colourful slimes by the hut.

,,I'm assuming we have to kill those?"

Gigi noted as she poked one.

Everyone knew slimes were the easiest monster to Fight so perhaps it wasn't so bad.

,,They're so cute it's almost a shame."

Penny whined as they readied their newly obtained sword.

The other two also pulled out their sword while Gigi pulled out the axe she got at the start.

,,Looks like it's about 30 but they're incapable of conflicting harm."

Floris said as he watched Gigi slash one.

The other slimes seemed horrified at what had happened and huddled together.

'Easier to get rid of them all' Gigi happily thought she would be happy to get some extra sleep.

The mouse hybrid took a few step towards the group of slimes when they suddenly started merging into a big one.

,,This might be a problem."

Penny voiced our everyone's thoughts as they distanced themselves from the giant slime.

It had turned a dark gray with various colours glowing from underneath and was considerably larger than all of them.

Would they manage to fight this thing that was known as a higher rather infectious risk?
