This made the hybrid consider sleeping in some more as they hadn't gotten such good rest in a while.

However they still had stuff to get to and god's to talk to.

,,Wake up sleepy heads we've got work to do."

He gently stroked his friends hair as he spoke.

Floris was the first to react as he slowly sat up with a yawn.

,,This was surprisingly cozy."

He said as he put on his glasses.

With their weight being lifted off one site Gray now could somewhat freely move. The hybrid immediately used the chance to check their communicator.

,,Any news yet?"

Floris huddled closer again.

,,Yep! I got a message from Royal let's see."

Gray quickly typed away with his light yellow hands.

|Royal: Since you finished what I asked you to do I'll be granting you what you've wished for.

,,When are they going to give it to us?"

Slightly startled the hybrids looked over to Penny who now had woken up.

,,He hasn't said anything else so let's just ask."

Gray looked back to their communicator.

|Gray: When will we be getting it?

|Royal: I'll come by at 4pm

,,4pm would be in about 6 hours. Enough time to get something done beforehand."

Penny noted and Floris gave her a thumbs up.

,,Let's wake Gigi and talk about today's plans."

Floris added before he scooted over leaving the other two.

It didn't take long until they headed out greeted by the mess they had created the previous day.

Traces of slime and small orbs which were known to be their hearts were scattered in front of their home.

On top of that some of the previously defeated slimes had reconnected with their core and we're now peacefully pacing around.

,,We should clean this up."

Gigi groaned at the sight as Gray picked up some of the orbs.

,,Let's save these actually. We can use it as glue and sell it."

The brown haired giraffe suggested. 

,,We don't have nearly enough to scoop it up and store it away though."

Penny noted as she fiddled with her half braided bangs.

They would only be able to store small amounts at the moment considering their other storage space had already been designated for other resources.

,,Why don't we just use it now? We still have things to build."

Floris pushed sime of the goop together on a pile leaving the others to think.

,,Why don't we start building a second hut then?"

Gray gestured to a place by their current hut as he walked over.

,,We could be building more important things though. Like a bigger storage."

Gigi rubbed her temple as she gestured to their current storage.

,, That's true but why make a while new storage expansion if we can just add storage to the huts?"

Slightly swung her tail trying to think of a come back.

,,Well then."

In the the end she was bound to give up. They would need that extra space anyway so why not just go with it.

,, Great." Gray clapped their hands and ran over to the wood supplies pulling Penny along.

Working with the four of them with the added knowledge and resources work went by quickly.

The wall was already finished up to their stomach withing 3 hours.

,,Say did any of you try and contact your family or friends?"

Penny popped a question as she was burning the slime to harden it.

,,I don't have any"

Gigi started off but before Penny could react the others gave their own answers.

,,The message didn't go through."

The freckled hybrid gave his report soon followed by Floris.

,,I didn't think of that."

The flamingo Hybrid sounded somewhat shocked at his realisation but quickly shook his head.

,,I didn't think of it either until now actually. I did post some stuff on social media though."

Penny slowly moved along the current layer of slime glue making sure to get it all.

,,Why do your post go through but messages to family don't?"

Gigi scooted over layering on the next layer of smile.

,,It's probably some filter as to who we can talk to and what we can say."

Gray gently out on the next log onto of the fresh slime layer.

,,We could ask Royal about that as well when he geht's here in about three hours."

That's the last thing Penny says before they go back into a comfortable silence working.

Before they know it they've only got to finish the roof of their second hut. They were making loads of progress and had also put small storage crates on the sides of their cottages.

Gray slowly backed away from their work to get a proper look.

,,Wow, you're doing better than expected."

Gray jumped up in terror running towards the closest person. 

That person just so happened to be Penny. Luckily she didn't get spooked but had to calm a hissing and growling Gray.

,,Oh my, I didn't mean to scare you."

The familiar bubbles slowly drifted forward.

With clear mind and reddened cheeks Gray now answered.

,,Good day, Royal. I'm assuming you're here because of my request?"

Instead of a reply Gray only got the amulet pushed into his hand by another blue one.

The hand quickly disappeared withing the bubbles again.

,,Why does it have a yellow shimmer to it?"

Gigi asked as she examined the red amulet.

,,I changed up the rules thinking it would be to easy to offer you so much free access."

Royal gave off a sweet laugh which to the group of four seemed rather sickening in that very moment.

,, Didn't we already agree on something when I request it?"

Gray started playing with his fingershoping that this was a joke.

,,We sure did. I acted without thinking about it properly."

The mouse took the amulet and held it up.

,,Then what are your conditions?"

Everyone was getting annoyed, upset or had mixed feeling towards their situation.

Gigi flicked her tail as she listened to Royal's next words.

,,Every week you have to kill 15 monsters to open up this portal. Then two of you can go out for 6 hours a week. Like before you'll get electrocuted if you go over that time."

 

Royal proudly explained the new rules she had set. It really was just some game to them.

,,So much work for only six hours a week?"

Floris flapped his wings angrily.

,,I don't make the rules..oh wait I do."

Royal burst out laughing at his own joke for about five minutes until he calmed.

They looked down at their captured ones who had gone awfully quiet.

,,Take it our I'll ban the item of your wishlist."

Gray, Penny and Floris all flinched at his sudden change of tone. They had to remember that Royal had a hand over them.

,,We'll take it."

Gigi didn't bother consulting the others. They would need this in the future and they all knew it.

,,Does the counter reset each week if we didn't fill it."

She proceeded to ask some questions to learn a bit more about their situation before moving forth.

,,It doesn't. I'm not that cruel, yet."

Floris strained his yellow eyes on the floating bubbles.

If he could he would call him out on everything but what would that do to him?

,,Thank you very much."

Gigi replied in a tone friendlier than anyone would have expected before she turned around to leave the group.

The others watched her walk away and as they looked back they saw they remains of a purple portal disappearing.

That day some questions were left unanswered and forgotten.
