I was freaking out. Why is this man here?? Don't tell me, I actually reincarnated in "Marlene Chronicles".......FUCK. Of all the fantasy type worlds I could have reincarnated into, ITS THIS ONE?! I could've been some kind of powerful hero who saves the world with some kind of cheat ability like in those isekai novels, but I get the stupid world of my sisters favorite otome game?!

He and I stared at each other for a while. I glared at the man, but he just stood in the doorway with an unreadable expression. That got me thinking, Who am I? Am I this mans child??? Ugh, that's even worse! Antony is a Duke, so that explains the lavish living conditions, but I wouldn't say he's the best father.....Heck, he left me here alone for months!

The Duke approached my crib slowly and continued to watch me. Although I was glaring, it seems that it didn't show on my face, beacuse them man continued to look at me with a blank face.

"So..."He spoke up, "you're that child, huh." He spoke in a cold tone. Hey, big man, watch how you speak to children, also, if this was a normal baby, he wouldn't understand you, so be thankful I'm mentally 17. 

"What a lonely child." he spoke. "To be honest, I don't know how to face you. I'm afraid I've been possesed with so uch grief, that I won't be able to give any love for this child." The Duke's expression changes slightly with his brows furrowing. The duke slowly and gently places his arm in the crib and rubs my cheek.

Ah, that's right. The Duke had another child aside from Alice. His name was Allen and he barely appeared in the game. The only ever mention of him is when exposing Alice as a villainess in court and how she mistreated and bullied her younger brother.

A big part of why she did so was because of The Lady of House Grendbell, Alice's mother. She had some coplications in her first pregancy, but she came out unscaved, but her second child... well, was a bit more complicated. She grew very ill and it was clear that if she had the child, things would not end well. And against everyones protests, she had him anyways.

For 2 months, after her pregnancy, she was bedridden, practically waiting for death. That explains how I hadn't seen any family members visiting me. I'm guessing my mother has already died then. 

The Duke stay's there for a while, mostly just staring at me, saying nothing, seriously, what's with that guy? He left after that, thankfully. Now, I finally had time to myself to collect my thoughts. 

So, I'm in the world of "Marlene Chronicles", which sucks because I absoloutly despise the game, but it's better than something I've never read or experienced before. I have the upper hand in knowing the events happening in this world.

I am Allen Grendbell, brother of Alice Grendbell, like I said before, she is the villainess of the game. She was engaged to the crown prince at a young age and constantly interferes with the relationship between the heroine and the other capture targets. She bullies and insults the heroine, which makes the crown prince angry and so he relinquishes her title and sends her to a foreign country, at least in the crown prince route. The other routes follow basically the same thing, expect for a few varients of the capture targets disposing of the villainess.

Basically, my family is in deep shit if the story continues like this. And although I would like to stay away from the main storyline as much as possible, I can't just let this happen, or my family and my life will fall into ruin! So, the first step is to fix this terrible family relationship!

The game's timeline starts when all the characters enter a school called "Saint Marlene's academy" named after a very famous Saint. That's where the games title comes from. The heroine enters the school when she is 16, and so do most of the other characters, except for the characters who are already enrolled in the academy.

So, I have about 15 years, until the games events start, during that time, I need to improve my situation, and try to stay away from the wreck that is the main story of this god forsaken game.
