That sweet little sensation 

Reminds me of the good times

And I pray for the day

That it never does again 

The smiles, the laughter, 

As we played our favorite games

I wish these memories 

Would just fade away

I like to call these memories 

The "Good Triggers" 

But the name is misleading 

They're the worst triggers of all

The screams, the tears, 

As you forced yourself on me

That's all I should remember 

When I think of you 

I hate these Good Triggers 

What's the point of remembering 

The way your face lights up

As you watched your favorite show

Sometimes I think this would be easier 

If you were just some stranger

Instead of someone I can see

In my childhood photos

But I was just a baby

My mind couldn't handle it

So it replaced that smirk

With a childish smile

I wish you were stranger

That I never saw before 

Maybe then I wouldn't suffer
