This is more of a slice-of-life episode between these two where we get a little bg on some Chiaroscuro history. Nice of Chiaroscuro to build an entire European style castle no one uses anymore, but you may recognize from when it was way in the bg of the episode where Djali was talking to the Gardener back in the beginning of the series.
Mind you, that castle looks a little bit different and quite vague in that episode since it was very far away and half covered by trees, but one of these days I'll sit down and actually model this stuff out in 3d. Course, I say that, but the way I approach a webcomic is to get the best part of it in front of you in a reasonable amount of time, and polish details later (polishing details that are really, just for me, when you think about it.)
When a human falls into a cryptic world of monsters, she marries a local shapeshifter that very same day. She is trying to find her way back home in one piece. But who is this man who so quickly came to her rescue? What is under all of his shifting layers?
The world of chiaroscuro is full of mysteries, from the graveyard from out of time, the grave keeper who found a human in a spot no human has walked in 400 years, to the ghosts that haunt their dreams.
This is a mysterious fantasy/romance/isekai about deciphering lost histories, fallen hearts, and forgotten recipes.
