Luka had read the messages. The ones from Peter and the ones from Georgie. Peter's texts were just questions asking about his health and his day. He had responded to those; saying he had been feeling better after quitting. He had mentioned something about wanting to spend more time with Mika before he went back into the workforce. Georgie's texts were less comforting. His requests were becoming more and more extreme. Luka wasn't sure how long he would have to continue fulfilling them before he could escape. Luka reread the last message that Georgie had sent.

'Why'd you leave your house?' Luka had yet to reply to that message. He had been stressing over finding a good excuse since the previous night. He placed his phone back down on the counter and began pacing around his kitchen.

Peter had told him a few days ago that he'd caught Yukion's interest. Yet he'd heard nothing from the strange man. Luka's pace quickened as his thoughts became more panicked. Obviously Peter had been wrong and Yukion had never gotten interested enough in his story. Luka pulled the stool out from under the bench and sat down. He exhaled deeply and put his face into his hands. Right now, he needed to focus on his reply to Georgie's question. He pulled his hands away from his face and picked up his phone. He noticed a new message appear in his notifications.

'19-03-20XX' it said. Luka gulped. His hands began shaking and he placed his phone back onto the bench, clumsily, letting it lay screen down. Luka began frantically pacing again.

"Wasn't he asking about yesterday?" Luka worried, aloud.

"Why is he asking about weeks ago?"

“What had he even been doing that day?"

A horrible thought wormed its way into Luka's mind and he rushed back towards his phone. He fumbled with it for a few seconds before it faced the right way. Luka checked the date on his phone's calendar. A single note was added to the date.

'Day out with Peter :D' the message read. Luka let his phone fall from his hand. It bounced once before settling, unharmed, on the benchtop. It had been the day he had met Yukion.

"You've done it again." A voice said from behind him.

Luka froze. Closing his eyes he began pleading, aiming the pleas at any omnipotent being that would listen.

"Please! N-not now! Not n-now-w, p-p-please." Luka’s words started to weaken as he became more panicked and desperate. Tears fell to the floor. Slowly, he turned around, building up the courage to open his eyes. Luka clenched and unclenched his fists repeatedly, in an attempt to calm down and relax.

"Look at me." The voice spoke softly, almost coaxing him to open his eyes.

"Go on." The voice continued softly. "Turn around and look at me."

Luka placed his shaking hands over his ears in an attempt to silence the voice. Previous experiences had informed him that this was all for nothing; the voice would continue to wrap around his head and infiltrate his thoughts even with the physical coverings.

"That doesn't work, you know." Luka pressed his hands further into his ears.

"You failed last time." Luka's breath hitched and his eyes opened. "What's gonna save you now?"

Luka spun around. She was there again. On the other side of the kitchen stood Blaine. Blood stained the front of her shirt and her head was cocked to one side.

Luka took a step back, attempting to escape from her piercing gaze. This movement angered the woman and she strode forward, reaching out towards him.

Ding-dong.

Luka's attention switched to the door. A blurred figure stood in the glass. Luka made sure that Blaine had disappeared before seeing who it was. Before he could get very far, his daughter came running out of her room and nearly collided with Luka. She began jumping up and down by the door, excitedly.

Luka walked timidly to the door, still shaken from the previous events. He took a deep breath and put on a fake smile before opening the door.

"Hello, how may I help you?" He asked.

All Luka got in response was a deep sigh of resentment. There before him was a soaked Yukion.

Luka quickly opened the door wider and ushered the poor man into his home.

"W-what are you doing standing out in the rain?" He worried. "You could get sick!"

He then raced off to the bathroom for some towels, not giving Yukion a chance to answer. As he rushed back he slipped, throwing the pile of towels over Yukion.

"Thanks." Yukion whispered, letting the towels drape over him.

Luka just stared dumbfounded at him from his position on the cold floor.

Luka sat on the couch, cup of coffee in his hand. He watched as his daughter, Mika danced around, entertaining Yukion. Luka worried whether he should say something.

"Give me your phone." Luka nearly missed the quiet command. He looked down at Yukion, who was staring at him intently with a hand outstretched. Luka placed his coffee cup on the side table and got up to get his phone. Luka didn't know what compelled him to obey. Maybe it was the thought that someone could actually help him. Luka grabbed his phone but before he could leave the kitchen his phone lit up. A new message from Georgie. "Who's that?"

Luka dropped his phone after viewing the message.

Before either his daughter or his guest could question the sound he scooped his phone up. He checked it again, making sure the message was real. It was. Luka then hurried over to the lounge. He hurriedly closed the curtains, without any explanation.

He sat back down on his spot on the couch and handed his phone to Yukion. He watched as the man fiddled with his lock screen before shoving the phone close to Luka's face.

"Its face recognition." Yukion explained.

The phone screen changed and Yukion brought his hand back down. Mika sat next to him, watching as he fiddled with the different apps on Luka's phone. Luka felt a little uncomfortable with the way Yukion was rifling through his information. Hopefully it would get him some much needed help from the man.
