Though it had been but five minutes since It started it felt like five eons.
My foot started to bend as It’s energy swelled. I heard a crack. There was a sharp pain in my foot.
It’s energy dipped and my skin started to melt.
I could not move. I could only watch as my body changed in ways I thought impossible for a mortal being.
It stared at me and my eyes started to bleed. My organs flipped outside my body and I could feel a cool breeze on my lungs.
Slowly, ever so slowly, almost impossibly slow it inched closer to me.
The heat grew. My flesh melted quicker.
My feet were glued to the floor, the heat welding marble tiles and the soles of my feet, me becoming one with my floor.
Soon I would cease to exist, naught but a stain upon my tiles, a weird stench in the air for the next owner of the apartment.
I am glad. The pain It brings would end with me, and soon my flesh will die and my soul will move on.
