Fear; loneliness; cold. Three sensations that Fiorella had already felt in her life, but never all at once. The place was completely dark. She was chained to the wall, with chains that had their base firmly on the floor. She was tired, hungry, and powerless, and knew they were chains with emerald dust. The only thing she could hear was the pounding of the hammer on the wood, which sounded constantly. The heavy rain didn't let the prisoner hear anything else. A few drops of the dripping rain fell slowly on her right shoulder, something that irritated her deeply. She closed her eyes for a moment, wondering how she would get out of such an ambush, but first of all she wondered how she had ended up in such a situation. All she could remember was being on the ship with Odilon and Polipedes and then, as if by magic, waking up cold and chained. "I know what darkness feels like. The agony of not being able to see anything around you." The voice came from the back of the room. "You can change this situation...Fiorella." A blue light shone as it walked towards the young woman. "You...I remember you." She whispered. "On the ship... Adanahel... it was you who pushed me into that black portal." Frella coughed dryly. "Why?" "For fun." The giant gave a wry smile. "No. There's a reason...I know there is." "Because I wanted to weaken your spirit. Break your hope, shatter your courage, decimate your chances of being able to defeat me." "So that's it." The girl felt the phlegm in her throat and spat, "And it worked?" "You tell me. When was the last time you saw sunlight? When was the last time you ate a healthy, tasty meal? What was the last time you could see your beloved?" Frella took a strong step forward, but the chains kept her from getting close to Adanahel. The young woman spat on the ground and glared at the ice giant. Adanahel smiled with more irony. "I told you, you can change your situation, Fiorella." He continued. "Fuck you." "How do you intend to get out of here?" "I don't know yet, but it won't be with your help." "Think it over. Just make the request and I will return you safely to Odilon's arms. I will make the three of you reappear in Aurora without a scratch." "You wouldn't do all this kindness in exchange for nothing, since you are the one who put me here. So tell me... what is the price? What do I have to do?" "That was a fine observation on your part. I had the power to bring you here and I have the power to get you out, but...as you yourself have said...there is a price." Adanahel approached Frella and stared into her eyes. He could feel the fear in her gaze. "I know you are looking for something. Tell me what it is. I also want to know everything about this trip you were making, where you were going, what you were looking for, everything. As soon as you tell me everything, I will bring the three of you together again." "So that's it. You want to know what I know. You looked like a great magician to me. All this power that exudes from you and your scepter fascinated me. You open and close portals very easily, teleport with class... you have many gifts, but you can't discover simple information. You know, Adanahel, for a great magician you are being pretty mediocre. You want to know what I know... hand over the girl. Give Sotrel back to Odilon and I'll tell you everything." Adanahel slapped Frella hard across the face. The young woman spat out saliva and blood. "You think I'm being mediocre, you bitch." The giant grabbed the young woman's neck. "I could tear you apart with just one finger." Adanahel released the young woman's neck. "I'll give you one then, to see if your word is true." Frella breathed awkwardly, having lost her breath at the hands of the ice giant. "You think you are invincible...even without your gifts. Let's see if you think you're so amazing when I break up with your little boyfriend and throw his lifeless body right here at your feet." "No," Frella began to cry. "Please! Don't hurt him. I beg you." "Do you know the sound you hear? It's the stage they are setting for your execution. Here in Yetta magic is not allowed and you have shown them that you are very good at sorcery. I think you should beg for your life and not Odilon's, let his life finish me." "You wouldn't have the courage..." "I don't need courage to kill him. I need power and that ... I have plenty of." "You'll regret it Adanahel. Listen to what I'm telling you. You're going to lose this war." "Tell me what you know, Fiorella. Get rid of premature death. Tell me where you were going, what you were looking for, and I'll take you back home. You don't have much time, accept my offer, time is running out." Adanahel beat his scepter on the ground and disappeared. Frella coughed and went back into the darkness.
