To keep it short. All I did was punch the bad guy then got punched by him then I was saved by Tae. For that, I get a free stay for a week, which could be longer if not for the damage that I caused. The woman that I helped is the daughter of the inn owner. Also, she is one year older than me. Apparently, without a beard, I’m not a man… That’s why she always calls me boy… When she was bandaging me she noticed the tattoo. She was surprised at first, that a “boy” has a real tattoo. Luckily for me, she didn’t recognize that it was a mark of Loki. At least now the villagers look differently at us. And yes I kept the promise to the merchant. Now that they know us and we know where the village is we borrowed a boat and didn’t have to move across the mountain. I want to avoid this monster for as long as I can.

[ Eric ]

“As I promised here you have five good swords, five silver each.” 

[ Merchant ]

“Pleasure doing business with you…” 

[ Eric ]

“Eric! Eric Hoffman.”

[ Galmar ]

“Galmar, son of Salmar.”

[ Eric ]

“By the way, I only sold my things to you but I never checked what you sell.”

[ Galmar ]

“Well… You can buy many different things in my stall. But I’m known for tools and ritual items.”

[ Eric ]

“Rituals?”

[ Galmar ]

“You don’t know? Where do you even come from?” 

I wanted to answer that but Tae told me that people might fear me especially when I’m blessed by Loki. We other worlders are like mystical creatures to them. 

[ Eric ]

“Sorry! It’s my secret!”

[ Galmar ]

“Ok…”

[ Eric ]

“Then can you tell me more about the rituals?” 

[ Galmar ]

“Every clan and village worship different gods so rituals are different. We all worship many gods but if we need something we can only ask one god. Like praying for a good harvest to Frejr.”

[ Eric ]

“Oh… I get that.” 

[ Galmar ]

“Also some pray just to see a god.” 

[ Eric ]

“How do you do that?”

[ Galmar ]

“You need to build a shrine. It doesn’t need to be big.”

[ Eric ]

“Do you have one?!” 

[ Galmar ]

“Yes, I do. It's a shrine for Njord since my son is a fisherman.” 

[ Eric ]

“So every shrine is for a different god?”

[ Galmar ]

“Yup. We don’t worship all the gods at the same time because it might bring a disaster. It’s like saying that you have a wife but you love every woman on the island.”

[ Eric ]

“I’ll keep that in mind… See you later.” 

I don’t like Loki but since I was blessed by him I definitely will need to talk to him sometimes whether I like it or not. Why… everything stopped? 

[ Voices ]

“Prepare” “It’s coming!” “Get ready” “Monster” “Ragnarok” “War” “Next test” “It’s dangerous” “It’s scary” “It’s strong.” 

Said many voices all around me but I couldn’t see anyone. The voices were getting too loud. I covered my ears but they didn’t stop. Right before I screamed there was the last thing 

[ Voice ]

“Wait for more signs… Eric…” 

I remember that voice… Or at least part of it? This was like one person said it with the voices of a few people. I’m not sure if he blessed me or cursed me… Something is coming. But what! When? Why? WHERE? Some people were staring at me. I covered my face and left. The first place I needed to visit was the Inn. Especially Tae. I needed to inform him… or rather ask him about what just happened?
