The next day came and both families started preparing to come back from their holiday. They packed and took a taxi to Itami Airport in Osaka. They were seated on the airplane in the same way they were when they came to Japan. This time Sunjung kept holding Yongrae’s hand all the way back, she didn’t need the turbulence as an excuse.
Lucas arrived at the Incheon airport to pick up his family. He parked the car and sat inside, waiting for them.
The airplane arrived and the families got out of it. Lucas saw them coming from the check-in and went towards them. He greeted them from afar and then went to Sunjung first.
“Sunjung congratulations!”- he said to her, “Also happy birthday!”
“Thank you, uncle!”- said Sunjung while bowing to him.
“Now the desert for last, my favorite nephew…”- said Lucas as he was getting closer to Yongrae, “Congratulations Yongrae!”
“I am your only nephew…”- replied Yongrae, with a sad tone of voice, “But thank you!”
Both families said goodbye to each other and went their separate ways.
“Bye Oppa, see you later!”- said Sunjung to Yongrae.
“Bye Sunjung!”- he replied, waving nervously at her.
Yongrae and the rest of his family entered Lucas's car and left the airport.
“So did you guys have a good time in Kyoto?”- asked Lucas.
“Yes it was great!”- replied Chuncha, “Kyoto is very beautiful...”
“Good news guys, my guy fixed Yongrae’s documents so that he would need to do the military service!”- said Lucas to them delighted.
“That’s great!”- happily replied Oliver.

“Thank god!”- said Chuncha, relieved, “I don’t want my son to go there and get hurt.”
“What do you mean?”- asked Yongrae, confused.
“Now you are a Canadian citizen and you stay here on a student visa.”- replied Lucas, “After marrying Sunjung you will stay here as her husband and later you can get your Korean passport.”
“At least some good news…”- thought Yongrae.
“Also after the wedding, you and Sunjung will go in America for college.”- said Oliver, “Me and Yujun already sorted everything out.”
“What…!?”- replied Yongrae surprised, “School again!?”
Nobody replied to him and so he leaned his head in the car’s window and kept looking at the road during the way home. When they arrived, Oliver and Chuncha got out of the car first. Lucas turned back to Yongrae when he was about to get out and asked him to stay.
“Yongrae, would you like to hang out with me for a while?”- asked Lucas. Yongrae looked at him and thought that it may be good for him to stay out with Lucas.

“Okay fine!”- replied Yongrae. Lucas asked Oliver about it before leaving with Yongrae.
“Don’t take him drinking though!”- said Oliver to him.
“Don’t worry big bro, I just want to catch up with him...”- replied Lucas while nervously smiling.
“Bring him home before nine PM, okay?”- said Chuncha to him.
“Come one big sis he is not a kind anymore!”- replied Lucas annoyed, “He is about to get married.”
Yongrae got out and sat in the front and they left.
“Let’s go for a car ride, you seem tired so I will bring you back soon…”- said Lucas to Yongrae while looking at him worried. The car kept going on the outside but inside nobody was talking.
“So you are getting married soon?”- said Lucas trying to break the ice.
“Yes!”- replied Yongrae with a sad tone of voice while his head was leaning in the window.
“Well aren’t you too young to get married?”- said Lucas, “I mean I am 25 and I don’t even think about that stuff, you just turned 18?”
“You are 32, uncle!”- replied Yongrae.
“That’s not the point here!”- said Lucas enraged, “I don’t understand what the hell is Oliver thinking this time?”
“He should just give up at this point…”-said Lucas to himself. Yongrae heard him and felt curious.
“What should he give up?”- asked Yongrae while looking at him.
“Nothing, never mind!”- replied Lucas while looking forward nervously.
“Anyway do you even like Sunjung?”- asked Lucas trying to change the subject, “She seemed nice and well mannered, also she is very cute.”
“Yes, something like that…”- replied Yongrae with a sad tone of voice.
“Uncle do you want to be my best man at the wedding?”- said Yongrae out of the blue.
“What!?”- replied Lucas surprised, “I mean yes of course!”
 “Thanks!”- replied Yongrae.
“So as a best man I shall prepare your bachelorette party?”- said Lucas, “Be ready for spicy surprise…!”
“Sorry uncle, no party!”- said Yongrae with a sad tone of voice, “I am not in the mood for these things.”
“Okay, whatever you want…”- he replied after sensing Yongrae’s sadness. They turned back and arrived at Yongrae’s house.
“Before you leave I just want you to know that you can count on me for anything okay?”- said Lucas to him.
“Thank you, big brother!”- replied Yongrae with a sad smile on his face. He got out of the car and went to the entrance of his house.
“Before I leave, are you sure about the party?”- jokingly asked Lucas.
“Yes, I am sure best man, I don’t want a party!”- replied Yongrae while smiling at him.
“Your wish is my command!”- replied Lucas as he turned the engine of his car on. “Anyway, I am leaving now…”
“Goodbye best man!”- said Yongrae while waving at him.
“Goodbye Yongrae, see you soon!”- replied Lucas and then left.

Yongrae stayed there until his car vanished from the horizon and then entered his house. He greeted the doorman and walked in feeling sad.
