Back with Kite and Sahara…
*Hah* *Hah* *Hah*
Both Kite and Sahara were panting and dripping with sweat as they held their gaze onto Dawn who was just as silent as he was at the start of their battle but something was different now. He seemed a bit warier than before. Not to mention kite and Dawn were now not alone. Instead, they had four more people with them. But they weren’t a part of the Company’s security, instead they were the members of the Council task force with whom Rose had arrived.
Dawn raised his hand to make his next move when suddenly he looked up seemingly surprised.
“What is he doing?” Kite said to himself unable to comprehend his actions, when suddenly his body began to glow and flicker in an out of existence just like a bulb about to go out.
“Oi, he’s escaping!” Kite alarmed.
Naturally this didn’t go unnoticed by the captain of the task force as he stretched his hand forward and the next moment thick vines struck out from his arm towards Dawn. But it was already late.
The vines simply made contact with the ground at where he stood. As for Dawn he had vanished just as he had arrived.
The captain stood in silence trying to find dawn by any trail of mana that he might have left behind but it was futile. He couldn’t sense anything.
“Search the building for any signs that he might be here, also round up the small fries and check on Captain Rose.” The task force captain ordered causing the three members to spread out.
He then turned towards the two panting security guards.
“Fancy seeing a task force here from the Council. I wonder if you were the reason these guys barged in.” Kite said with a hint of disdain in his voice.
“Shut it Kite, forgive my friend’s rudeness, he’s… not very fond of uninvited guests.” Sahara took a pause before looking around and continued, “And neither am I. Do you have any idea as to why they attacked?”
The captain knew that the Black Cloud were now hunting for the stone in Alex’s possession. Naturally he couldn’t let this secret out. As a result, the obvious reply came in return, “No, I am sorry, but I don’t have any idea about it. Me and my squad were in the nearby when he heard about something going wrong at this Co, Safe Locker.”
“I see… forgive me for the questions. You have me and my friend’s gratitude for helping us.” Sahara said with a pause clearly having some doubts about this situation.
Back with Alex and Blake.
Once they passed through the portal, they found themselves into a pine grove. Apparently, they were teleported to the other side of the city.
Azmiel who came after then suddenly crashed into them which threw Blake and Alex away from him. They didn’t incur any injuries as they crashed into a huge bush, softening their impact.
Blake, “We didn’t go back to earth? And… how are we here?!”
“I changed the location beforehand when you were engaging Azmiel back there.” Alex explained as he adjusted himself.
“But why? Blake asked confused. “What? do you want to create a commotion on earth about all this magic and a pale scrawny guy in leather pants.”
Blake, “Then how do we get back to earth? We had an agreement, human!”
“Don’t worry instead of separating on earth we’ll separate ourselves here. In return help me with one thing.” Alex said as he eyed the familiar figure who came with them uninvited. Blake only gave a confused expression.
“Oh! If it isn’t that captain Gale, the one who can only make small sparks out of his sword. What is the sword even around for? Tightening your belt?” Alex said in a mocking manner.
“Can that sword even cut a twig?” Blake took the hint and went along although he didn’t know for what reason they were provoking him.
“Good, very good, it seems to me that you kids have lost the will to live. Last time you got me by surprise and knocked me out. Not to mention you beat my soldiers and Nozark. You both will face my fury!” Gale roared as he lifted his sword up which emanated a fiery aura. The aura took a physical shape and started covering the sword and continued to extend in the upward direction.
“Alright this is it for you fools.” Azmiel said standing in the opposite direction from Gale as a sword came out of his hand with which was enveloped by chains and a purple aura and extended in the same way Gale’s extended.
Alex then whispered something in Blake’s ears, after which Blake’s eyes widened. A second later he kicked Blake and as the distance between them grew to the length of their elongated cuffs, both Azmiel and Gale had already launched their attacks at them. The attacks though in a slicing shape, were carrying enough power to obliterate anything which stood in their way. However, they hit the elongated part of the cuffs and unable to withstand much pressure it broke.
The two attacks combined generated the strength of a tier three spell.
After which Azmiel and Gale’s attacks went for each other. Both of them managed to evade them. Taking this opportunity Alex went for Azmiel and Blake rushed towards Gale. Blake quickly engaged with Gale in a fiery battle taking him away from Alex.
