🏃Clark's POV🏃
"Oh god," I whisper as I look at the restaurant. "Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god. This was a terrible idea, I should've just stayed home and canceled. Oh, god!"
I was currently outside of Vesuvio -an Italian pizzeria and spaghetti shop- grabbing and pulling at my hair because I knew some super hot Korean guy was probably waiting inside for me and I couldn't somehow acquire the guts to go in.
"Why did I even agree to this? He probably won't even like me. Oh goodness, I probably look terrible!" I groaned, running my fingers through my hair again and tugging as I started to pace. "And even if he did like me then what about him? What if I somehow slipped up and he found me, found us!"
That got me pacing even faster with pink cheeks because I constantly had to move out of the way since it was a small street.
"Maybe I should just go. Maybe I should just text Jasmine from the safety of my own home and tell her I couldn't make it. I got sick, I had to take a surprise shift because Gabe couldn't make it- no, because Gabe had to go to the hospital, I-" My string of ideas was interrupted by the clearing of a throat behind me.
I slowly turned around to find myself looking into a pair of brown eyes.
He was a good four inches taller than me with long black hair that was shaved at the sides. He had a softer face shape with just enough definition and pouty lips that made me appreciate that his clean-shaven face complimented them. He was pretty well built which I could clearly see from his tight-fitting T-shirt and dress shirt that shaped his bulky arms and large pecks perfectly.
Aw nuts, I thought. It's him, isn't it?
"Are you Clark?" He asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.
I let out a pained sigh.
"Yup," I said, stretching out the word. "That's me."
At the moment I really wished that I could've laughed since that reminded me of Caillou but I think that most people wouldn't appreciate my childish sense of humor so I kept quiet.
My date let out a chuckle causing me to frown.
"What's so funny?" I asked him.
"Sorry," He said. "That just reminded me of Caillou."
I gave him an incredulous look.
"You're kidding right?"
He shook his head.
"Nope."
A small smile graced my lips.
"I was thinking the same thing."
We both shared a smile temporarily getting lost in each other until he seemed to remember something and his smile fell off his face.
"So that conversation you were having with yourself just now was you trying to think of a way to cancel right?" He asked. "I mean if you want to leave you can do so, I won't hold you back."
"I-I . . . I didn't . . . yes it was about you. I'm sorry, we can still go in if you want," I cringed at how awkward I sounded but knew It couldn't take anything back now. By now a frown had taken over his previous smile and I could feel the distance he started to create between us.
"Oh, so now that you've seen me you want to stay." He said, accusation in my voice.
"What? No! I-I was already warned that you would be really hot-" I cut myself off, realizing what I had said. "Sorry, that came out wrong!"
I was so busy worrying over what I had said that I didn't notice that a smile had started to grow on his face because of my rambling.
"It's fine, honestly it's my fault for being so rude." He said coming a little closer.
"No, you were being cautious. I get that." I told him, finally looking up to see that he was a lot closer than I had thought.
His eyes became hooded as they raked across my face before settling on my lips. I felt my pulse spike at the prospect watching carefully as he started to lean in-
"Uhhh, Let's go inside then huh?" I said turning and walking into the restaurant before he could say anything.
I only heard the beginnings of a small chuckle before the door closed behind me and I was walking up to the hostess.
"Hi, I have a reservation under the name Sterling," I told her leaning in so I wouldn't have to raise my voice too high.
She dragged her finger down the page of a book for a couple of seconds before she stopped, reading it quickly.
"Ah yes, table for two right this way." She said picking up two menus and walking deeper into the restaurant.
I started following after glancing behind me to make sure my date was doing the same.
We came up to a small table close to a wall near the back. My date and I both sat down while the hostess placed the menus in front of us.
"Have a great meal." She smiled before walking away, leaving the two of us alone.
"Oh!" I exclaimed in realization. "I don't know your name." I felt heat gather at my cheeks but I ignored it waiting for his answer.
"Oh right, my name is Liam Park, I'm twenty-one years old and I go to York University," he said. "Your turn."
I gave him a look but agreed anyway.
"I'm Clark Sterling, I'm nineteen years old and I work at Jacob's bookshop on Queen St."
"Nice to meet you." He said, putting his hand out for me to shake.
"Same here," I replied shaking it.

"And then she walked right in and screamed as if she was in a horror film."
Liam was cackling beside me letting out a weird but oddly satisfying laugh.
I was just telling him about when Daniel (a friend of mine and friend/ex-boyfriend of Jasmine) brought his girlfriend at the time over to Mason's to hang out, and we forgot to tell her that one of the bathrooms doors had a broken lock that didn't work.
So she opened the bathroom door while I was pooping and screamed her little head off.
"I actually told her that it sounded like she came out of a horror movie so she said, 'well, I was just scared after seeing such a small dick'."
"No way," Liam said sobering up a little bit. "Seriously?"
I nodded my head before saying. "So I obviously shot back, 'Oh, I thought my dick was covered but you obviously picked up the skill of telling how big a guy's dick is since you've seen so many right? Or am I mistaken?' of course she didn't like that so she attacked me and Daniel and Mason had to hold her back." I finished.
"Damn," Liam started. "You really said all that?"
"Well yeah, she tried to embarrass me by bringing up the stereotype of guys finding pride or embarrassment in our dick size, so I brought up the thing about girls who wear certain clothes being sluts. I don't believe it but hey, she asked for it." I told him. "Plus I had to deal with Daniel not talking to me for two weeks! And I had to apologize to her!"
Now Liam was back to laughing again with a big smile on his face and tears in his eyes.
After we finished dinner I found out that Liam had a car so he offered to drive me to my place so obviously a TTC regular like me jumped at the chance to of a free ride,
All
The way
Home.
So I was practically on cloud nine as we drove talking and bonding over our mutual love of kpop that I found out when he played one of my favorite BlackPink songs.
But soon enough we arrived at Ethan's building and he was parking in one of the guest spots.
When I opened the door I was prepared to say "thank you for tonight, I had a great time" but instead I was saying.
"What are you doing?"
Liam was getting out as well and walking to the building entrance. He turned back to look at me and raised his brow as if I was the weird one.
"Taking you home?" He asked.
"No, no you're not."
"Well, it looks like I am."
"No, you're- hey! Stop walking!" I yelled.
"Still walking."
"Hey! I'm Serious- ugh!"
I stomped my way over to him since he was already in the building waiting patiently for me.
"I don't even know why you care so much," I mumbled while unlocking the building door, still annoyed.
"Let's just say that there is a really cute guy I want to impress and leave it at that." He whispered right next to my ear.
Before I could process what he did he was opening the door and bending down far that I could see the top of his head.
"After you." He said.
I couldn't help but smile at that.
"Thank you, kind sir," I replied, repeating a line we've probably all heard.
I walked through the door walking to the elevator after looking over my shoulder to check if he was following.
After leaving the elevator and walking do only a couple of minutes we were standing in front of my door.
"Well, this is it," I said.
"I guess it is." He replied.
We shared a long look before I spoke again.
"I had an . . . amazing time Liam, thanks for meeting me."
Liam didn't respond, he stayed silent, staring at me when all of a sudden I found my lips on his and I knew by the feeling of his hands on both sides of my face who started it.
I let out a small moan of surprise before closing my eyes and leaning into him, letting him take control. The kiss was hot, soft, and desperate but dragged out, slow, showing me how much he wanted it to last. Then, all too quickly I was alone watching his back walking further and further away from me.
I lifted my left hand to look at the piece of paper that it held with ten numbers written down knowing that he was the one who gave it to me. I slowly opened the door and walked into the condo sporting flushed cheeks and a shocked face that quickly turned into a stupid grin as I recalled what just happened.
Damn
That boy can kiss.
