After they got Oakley's, Neal's, and Cole's costumes from the thrift store, the five teenage boys had to go to another store to get costumes for Oscar and Kyle. Kyle had been having a lot of trouble deciding what he was going to wear and had wondered if he would find anything good. But, when he had seen the full Drift costume, he had been immediately sold and had bought it almost immediately.
The outfit consisted of light black sweatpants with large pockets, a white shirt, a black jacket with red stripes running down the long sleeves and a turtle neck, a puffy red vest with a hood, grey and gold sneakers with tall high tops, black gloves with gold pockets on the back of the palms, a black mask that covered the mouth, and a large black and gold jacket with pink accents and a large hood. The second store had sold the signature Drift wolf mask but when Kyle had reached for it, Cole had said,
"The wolf mask is cute but you look really great with just the black mask." Cole commented innocently. Kyle froze and turned to Cole with a blank expression. Cole just looked at Kyle with wide eyes and said. "Do you think I'll be able to see your face on Halloween or are you going to wear the mask?" Kyle had retracted his hand as if he had been burnt and then proceeded to run to the check out.
Oscar had gone much more classic by choosing to be the joker. He chose to be the joker from Suicide Squad and the costume that he bought had everything that he needed except for the tattoos and the green hair. Oscar had to get his younger sister to help him paint the tattoos onto his stomach and he had used spray on hair paint to make his deep Latino hair green after he slicked it back with hair gel. The finished product had been fantastic and the other three guys had seemed slightly jealous of the creative costumes that Oscar and Kyle had gotten from Walmart; Oscar and Kyle bragged for half an hour after they had bought them.

It was hours before the party on Halloween night and all five boys were getting ready. To most, that meant getting on their costumes and finishing their makeup, but to Kyle, that meant eating dinner so that he wouldn't get hungry and touch any of the food that was given at random teenage parties. Once, Neal had made the mistake of trusting the food given and having eaten some chips and salsa, after acting concerningly crazy for three hours before throwing up, Neal learned his lesson and Kyle got the benefits without having to go through the experience himself.
Kyle was sure that Neal was probably eating dinner as well.
Kyle had finished eating and had finished washing his plate when we went to walk back upstairs to get changed. But, Kyle was stopped as he was walking through the dining room by his parents. His mother was still eating but his dad was sitting at the dinner table with an empty plate in front of him and Kyle realized exactly why they had stopped him.
"Kyle," His mother started, speaking in smooth soft French the moment she finished saying his name. "You know that your father and I both love you dearly and trust you, but we just want to make sure that you know what you are doing before you go to that party."
Kyle raised a brow.
"And what exactly should I know?" Kyle asked sarcastically, knowing exactly what they wanted him to know.
"How much alcohol should you drink?" His Father asked suddenly.
"My first one or two cups is alcohol and the rest are water."
"What type of alcohol?" His mother added.
"Beer."
"What type of drugs should you take?" Kyle's mom was deeply leaning forward in her chair as she waited for an answer to her question."
"None of them, they're all terrible."
"What should you do if a girl wants to have sex with you?" His Father questioned.
"Tell her that I don't have a condom."
"And if she has one?" His Mother asked with a raised brow.
"Say that I'm impotent."
His parents gave him wide beaming smiles.
"You make me so proud." Kyle's Father choked out happily, his hands going up to his eyes to wipe away the fake tears. Kyle rolled his eyes and his mother giggled.
"Charles, you embarrass the boy." His mom laughed. His father just sent a soft smile in her direction before standing up.
"Enjoy the party, we will see you when you get back," His Father smiled while holding his plate. He entered the kitchen and was already out of sight when he yelled. "Preferably sober!"
Kyle and his Mother both laughed before Kyle went upstairs to change. He was standing right before his door when his sister Maddie burst out of her room and ran down the hallway towards Kyle. When Maddie got to him, she just stood in front of him and smiled. Kyle was about to ask what she was doing when she said.
"If you fuck a girl at that party, I am going to promptly return the information to mom and dad." She whispered evilly. Kyle gaped at his sister with wide eyes.
"Wha-how would you even know?" Kyle stuttered, his surprise throwing off his speaking abilities and making him forget to speak in French. Instead of replying, Maddie just smirked and walked away.
Kyle shuddered before walking into his room. Sometimes, Kyle really wished that his family was not so involved, but he would get over it the moment he needed help.

Driving to the Halloween party had to be one of the funniest things Kyle had ever experienced in his entire time. No exaggeration whatsoever. For some reason, every single person in the car was on their joke A game. Even Cole was cracking jokes left and right and Kyle had enjoyed every minute of it.
It started by Oakley telling a joke about this one dog that all the boys in the car saw as they were driving and from there the car went crazy. There was barely a moment after that where Kyle wasn't laughing in the car that day. It was awesome.
Then they arrived at the party.
They all promised each other that they would stick together but after about half an hour, the five person group split up and Kyle was left with Cole. Of course, Kyle was not at all upset with that position.
Cole had been quite shocked when he had entered the party. He had been going to high school in the U.S, but parties hosted by kids downtown were a whole other world. The party they went to was being hosted in a townhouse, and the townhouse likely cost at least a million dollars per month to rent. It had four floors and two of them were for dancing and drinking, the last two were for the drunk kids who found someone to use a condom with for the rest of the night.
The rooms were decorated with hanging up white paper and splashing it with glow in the dark paint, so all the rooms glowed from the black light and the paint adorning the walls. Almost everyone was wearing some sort of costume and with the amount of masks people wore, the party gave off a dark and creepy vibe. Kyle loved it but Cole seemed to be slightly freaked out.
When Cole flinched away from the seventh person, Kyle decided that he should probably pull Cole away from the party and into one of the other rooms to calm down and relax. And this had been a good idea, but it proved to be a lot harder to execute.
The house was packed and since most of the bottom two floors were, in a way, specifically reserved for dancing, people were much more likely to shove and grind over Cole and Kyle than let them through. It took them a total of fourteen minutes to get from the first floor to the third, and after getting groped by a total of 9 people, Cole was beat. Kyle was as well, even more people seemed to be into his costume and while 11 groped his ass, two groped his crotch. Kyle dreaded having to head back downstairs.
Cole and Kyle looked through about four rooms, all of which were locked, before they realized that all of the rooms on the third floor were taken up.
"This is ridiculous!" Cole whispered fiercely as he and Kyle were walking up the third flight of stairs. "Why are so many people fucking at this party?!" Kyle eyebrows shot to his hairline when he heard Cole swore but he decided not to mention it and shrugged.
"It is a party for horny teenagers and young adults who have access to large amounts of alcohol and probably drugs, I'm surprised that we haven't seen people fucking downstairs yet." Kyle told the shorter boy. Cole opened his mouth to retort but thought better of it and closed it again.
"Alright, that's fair." The two giggled under their breath and continued to walk up the stairs. When they finally got to the top, they quickly found an open room. The two walked in to find a standard bedroom with a single sofa, a dresser, and a closet. Kyle sat on the sofa and Cole flopped onto the bed after toeing off his shoes. The two boys simultaneously let out a sigh, re;axing further into the furniture.
Kyle had his eyes closed for a total of one minute before they shot back open. When he thought of bringing Cole upstairs to relax, he hadn't thought of what the two would do once they were alone. Kyle had already been ultra conscious of Cole throughout the night, his heart had been having a real tough time for a while because he and Cole had to hold hands as they wrestled their way through the crowds. But now, everything was just a hundred times worse.
What would they do?
What could they talk about?
Kyle's hands immediately went clammy and his breath picked up. This sucked.
Then Cole said one thing.
"Remember what Neal had said about the chicken nuggets?"
Cole and Kyle spent the next two hours laughing and talking about jokes, memes, and weird costumes that they had seen throughout the party. Hearing Cole's laugh so much in one day had Kyle on some sort of high, the one beer probably helped as well, and he was beaming the entire time. When Cole finally opened his phone and checked the time, he suggested that he and Kyle should probably join the party again. They went back downstairs and, right when they got back to the first floor, Neal found them and dragged them out of the party.
From what Neal explained after all five of the boys were seated in the car, Oakley had started making out with a guy who had a bodybuilder for a boyfriend. So, Oakley had a pretty nasty swell mark on his cheek and the guys had enough amusement to keep them entertained for the entire drive back home.
It was definitely the best Halloween Kyle had ever had.
