After Aaron "asked me out" I completely ignored him for the rest of the night. It wouldn't have been that hard if he didn't have such a sad and depressed look every time I looked away from him.
"So, what do you kids want to do for your last day here?" My mom asked. Today is Monday and since it's a long weekend we were able to stay here a day longer but we are going to have to leave in the evening.
"We don't really know," Rachel said. "Maybe we could just hang out at the beach again?"
"No!"
Everyone looked at Aaron surprised.
"We should do something different," he answered the silent question everyone was throwing his way.
"Well, they're playing a movie in the main area. Maybe you guys could go watch." My mom suggests.
"Well, we don't really have anything else to do." I say voicing my opinion.
"Yeah, after we can just stay here till we have to leave." Mark says.
Mason starts coughing on his toast while pounding his chest and my mother, my father, and I all start getting out of our seats to help him but Mark is at his side before any of us even take a step.
Mark calms him down but now Mason is beat red I have a feeling it has nothing to do with coughing.
"Are you okay?" I ask my little brother once he has calmed down.
"I'm fine," he says giving me a smile.
"Alright," I say.

The day passed by peacefully.
The movie was pretty good and when we got back we just stayed in Ethan and Chris's room talking about nothing in particular until my dad came to tell us to start packing.
Once we were done and prepared to go we got in the same cars as before and left Dearhearst.
We got to Toronto by nine and dropped everyone off around nine forty.
I dropped on my bed with a big huff.
"What a long day," I say to no one in particular.
"Yeah," Mason agrees, startling me.
"Hey, Mason?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you have a crush on Mark?" I ask. His face blows up with a blush and I realize that we both blush a lot.
"Y-yeah." He mumbles quietly. "Do you have a crush on Aaron?"
Now it's my turn to blush.
"Yeah."
"I guess we are going to continue the adoption legacy," he says with a laugh.
I start laughing with him slightly before we quiet down again.
"Do you think Mom and Dad will accept us?" he asks, sounding a little sad.
"Yeah. Of course!" I say honestly.
"But what if they don't?"
I pause thinking for a moment.
"Then we will get through it together," I tell him, looking him straight in the eye.
"Thanks," he whispers quietly as he starts to tear up.
"You're welcome," I whisper even quieter as a few tears slide down my cheeks.
We both turn our heads back to the ceiling, quiet as we soak in the moment.
I would be crushed if my parents didn't accept us. It already happened with our birth parents, it shouldn't have to happen with our real parents either. But I know that no matter what I will always have my brother.
And that means the world to me.

Mason's POV
I walked through the front gates as I prepared myself for another day of school. My Brother last minute asked my parents if we could go to dearhearst and if he could invite some friends.
I don't know why but since we got to go to dearhearst again I wasn't complaining.
And it only got better when Mark Tyler came.
I talked to Jasmine before but we never were in the same circles so I never talked to Mark.
But over the weekend I talked to Mark a lot.
And now I am crushing even more.
"Hey, Mason!" My friend Daniel called.
"Hey, Daniel."
Daniel and I have been friends for a while and we are pretty close but I don't know what he would think if he found out I was gay.
"So how was your weekend?" He asked.
"It was good! Aiden invited a bunch of his friends to go to dearhearst with us and two of them were Jasmine and Mark's older siblings so they came with us."
"Really?"
"Yeah, it was a lot of fun and all of my brother's friends were really cool."
"So you talked to Jasmine all weekend?"
I pause to look at him.
"Yeah...why?"
His cheeks get a little pink as he looks away.
"N-no reason." He mumbles.
"Oooo Cody got a crush!" I taunt.
"No, I don't."
"Mmkay, if you say so."
"MASON!!"
"Oomph!"
I find myself on the floor with Jasmine on top of me.
"Jasmine!" I whine.
She just giggles at my pain.
"Hey, Mason."
I freeze at the voice from all of my dreams.
"H-hey Mark," I say as I struggle to keep my voice calm.
"What's up?" He asks.
"Nothing really," I answer lowering my head.
"Oh, this is my friend Daniel! Daniel this is Jasmine and Mark." I introduce them.
"Hey," Daniel says putting his hand out for Jasmine.
"Hey." She says shaking his hand.
We walk towards our class and go into pairs since Daniel and Mark are in the same Class and I and Jasmine are in another.
"So...does Daniel have a girlfriend?" Jasmine asks out of nowhere as we wait for class to start.
"Why do you ask?"
"No reason." She says as her cheeks get pink.
Déjà vu.
"Well for your information no. He does not have a girlfriend."
Her face lights up as she starts to smile.
"But I don't think you should be dating in fifth grade."
"I'm not!" She defends. "Just because I like someone doesn't mean I will date them, if he does like me back then we will date in high school.
I nod my head in agreement with her.
"Does Mark have a girlfriend?" I ask as I voice my thoughts by accident.
Jasmine gasped before a huge grin took over her face.
"Oh my god!" She whisper-screams. "You like him."
My face becomes beet red as I lower my head in my arms to try to hide it.
"Yeah."
"Oh my god that is so cute!" She yells, her voice normal again since the fact that something is cute isn't really private.
"No, he doesn't have a girlfriend and he doesn't like someone as far as I know."
"Good," I say. "I think."
"Well, I guess he's your Middle School Crush right now huh." She says.
"Yeah."
