Sir Kiljaos and Zak see the mysterious bird girl getting attacked by a giant snake monster, which turns out to be a lindworm (a monster from Scandinavian mythology), and rush in to the rescue. They all together manage to vanquish this monster, and the bird girl introduces herself. She is Ydia the chanting goshawk bard from Afkambash, who has apparently just started her career as a bard and an adventurer, which led to her foolishly trying to take out the lindworm all by herself.
As thanks for rescuing her, Ydia offers to become Sir Kiljaos's herald for the jousting tourney, which he accepts. And so our group heads to collect the bounty for killing the lindworm and rest for the next day's jousting tourney.
Ydia also sometimes says some things in her home language, which is based on South-African Xhosa language. "Molweni" indeed means "greeting", "Âwu" means "huh" or "wow", "Kunene" means "Indeed", and "Tshotsho" means "welcome" but in an insulting manner, so it actually means something like "you're welcome, fool" for example.

In an other dimension, exists the world of Karamador, inhabited by humans and human-like animals and insects known as anhinis.
The first series, Karamador Fantasy, sets in a reneissance- fantasy type time era, during the times of great dangers and legendary heroes. We mostly follow the adventures of Sir Kiljaos Windmane, the lion paladin of wind. Sir Kiljaos is a wandering paladin who travels around his homeland Pohjoland and the other parts of Karamador, fighting the forces of evil and helping those in need, and in hopes to get paid in the process. During his adventures he also meets and teams up with many different companions to fight the forces of chaos, like for example the beastly insectoids of Hordium, the undead, demonic invasions and ruthless orcs.
Although Karamador is set in a fantasy world, many of it's locations are based more or less on real locations. Many of the stories also involve real life legends and folk lore, especially from Finland and Scandinavia.
