In this story, fate marks started to apear across the world in 2010. It's said as you grow into adolescence, fated marks tend to happen at the age of 13. Oftentimes be it an alpha or an omega they will appear, sometimes even on betas.
Fate marks can appear in any size or shape and color on any part of the body. The fate marks will forever last on the pair for life until one or the other passes. Which in turn causes the mark to fully fade, never to return again, as those with a mark can only have one fated partner for life. Some people may never meet their fated pair due to being in two different countries or due to other problems that may prevent a fated pair from meeting. Because the phenomenon is so common, oftentimes some may see the mark and never bat an eye. Just like unexpected events of two men who are fated partners, one who wants to meet the other and one that wants nothing to do with a fated partner.

It was a chilly morning in Tokyo Japan, people walked down the streets on their way to their jobs. Unknowing to them, a man had already been hard at work in the brink of early morning.
His name is Watanabe Shinjiro, he's a 24 year old Dominant Omega who runs his bakery with two assistants. Emi, a bright and energetic Beta, and Keiko, a calm and hard working Alpha. Everyday this team would try their best to make the most of each day, to prepare for customers' arrival.
"Keiko is the batter for the red velvet cake ready?" Shinjiro called out while he was in the kitchen waiting for the baking cupcakes in the oven. The first fresh batch for the day.
Keiko looked up from what she was doing and glanced at him, "Yes Shinjiro-san I finished it and I'm working on the mix right now, do you need the batter right now?"
He nodded in assurance, walking over to her, taking the bowl of dark red batter back to his working station. Quickly pulling out the clanking pants and flour to prepare them. So he could put the batter in.
Emi briskly walked into the kitchen, "Shinjiro-san we have 30 minutes before we open! Do you guys need any help? I have cleaned up the dining area!" she said with a big warm smile on her face.
"Yeah! I could use your help, can you start decorating the cupcakes? They should be cooled down by now-" he said as he waved his hand fanning the foggy flour in the air coming from the pan.
Emi, still grinning from ear to ear; eager to help, rushed into the kitchen. Grabbing the toppings from the fridge, picking up the set frosting from the counter. Then began carefully piping the beginning of a multicolored rose bud onto the cupcakes.
As the last cupcake was stacked onto the tiered stand. All 3 finished with the preparation, and finally set out the bread into the display case. The sweet scents of baked goods filled the air. It was now time for the customers to arrive.
As they were finished, Emi unlocked the door and turned the buzzing sign to open.
"Shinjiro-san before people start coming in, do you need any help with anything?" Emi asked and in response Shinjiro shook his head no in silence.
She smiled and gave a quick nod to Shinjiro before heading to the cash register. Keiko was still adamantly working with different batches to bake and kneading away at some sourdough. Shinjiro looked over to her and saw how her long black hair was neatly tied up as she worked. This reminding him of the long list off orders he needed to make for the day and sighed a little to himself and got back to work.
Time flew with the blink of an eye. Eventually Shinjiro finished two orders, neatly packaged in a white box with the bakerys logo on it, now waiting for the customer to pick them up. It was always busy in the mornings with regular customers coming and going, but suddenly a new face appeared. Hearing the doorbell ring, Emi looked up at him, with her eyes meeting his piercing gaze. He was a tall man with black curly hair that twirled like a spring, deep purple eyes, and dark brown skin.
Her eyes lit up and she blushed, "Ohayou gozaimasu! I don't think I have seen you here before, what would you like to order? We have a Sutoroberīkēki (ストロベリーケーキ - Strawberry Cake) if you like-" she paused in confusion. "I'm sorry do you speak Japanese?" She remarked. The man chuckled, "Yes I do speak Japanese, I just moved in this area not too long ago and noticed this place." He said in a velvety tone. He took a glace around at the store with chairs neatly decorated, and the grey tiled floor and light yellow walls with plants hanging from the walls and the pictures of baked goods they have made on the walls.
"This place is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye" He said in Japanese to Emi.
Emi was shocked at how well he spoke Japanese and how nice his voice was, "I know right! The owner designed this place like this for that reason! If you don't mind me asking sir, how is it that you speak fluent Japanese?".
"I was born in America but my father is Japanese, my father left Japan when he was young and met my mom not too long after he moved there" he said and smiled at her.
"Gomen! Sorry if I offended you in any way- I was very confused" she explained hurriedly picking up a platter. "Please take a look at what we have if you'd like, we have cupcakes, cookies, cake and even bread. Is there a certain flavor you like?" She looked up, speaking quickly in excitement.
He looked over at the items and then looked back at her, "I love blueberry flavored goods, if you have cookies and a cake that has blueberries I will take that". Emi nodded and went over to the display case, took out a vanilla cake topped with buttercream lemon frosting. Quickly placing fresh blueberries and syrup on the cake from the topping display, then grabs three blueberry cookies.
"Sir would you like this to go or for here" she looked at him with a warm smile once again.
"For here please" He said as he pulled out his wallet and handed her his black credit card.
She looked at his card that he had put in her hand and became shocked at what type of card he had just handed her.
"O-oh wow sir, you must have a very good job to own a black card! What do you do for a living?" she asked and swiped his card and handed it back.
"Sorry I don't really like disclosing what I do for a living" he responded and then grabbed his cake and cookies and walked off without another word.
Emi watched as he went and sat down and then ran into the kitchen where Shinjiro and Keiko were preparing custom orders.
"Shinjiro-san, Keiko-chan! You wouldn't believe what I saw!" she shouted with excitement in her voice.
Shinjiro covered his ears a little, "Emi please keep your voice down, my ears are sensitive to loud sounds remember?".
"Sorry- Shinjiro-san..." she said softly, in a lower tone, "So this new guy came in, he's very tall and so handsome and I believe he's an Alpha! But he was very secretive." she chirped. "I saw that he had a black card. I asked where he was from and he told me he was born in america. Other than that I couldn't get much out of him."
He looked up from what he was doing and looked at Emi, "So what? It's not really our business on what color cards people have or where they work. All you should focus on is this job and getting work done." he said in a stern tone.
"Shinjiro's right, you know? You sometimes get off track- just focus on doing your job first and serving customers right now like how we are working getting these last orders done before lunch" Keiko added swiftly but didn't look up from what she was doing, heavily focused on a cake order as a piece crumbled off.
Emi hung her head down, "I'm sorry guys I will go back out there".
"It's ok Emi, no need to apologize, don't put yourself down or anything, I know how excited you can get about stuff" he said to her with a calm tone and continued working.
Emi walked back out to the counter and was really wanting to see the man again but the tall and handsome man she had gotten so curious and excited over had already left.
To be continued
