Preston's POV
Home sweet home.
That's what came to mind as I glanced around Adrien and I's new apartment. As I took in the open space, the bare walls and wood floors and tall glass windows, warmth spread through my chest. We had been waiting for this moment for ages—it's been years in the making, and now, it was finally happening.
We could finally call this place home. Our home.
A smile tugged my lips. There was a bunch of thrifted furniture and boxes upon boxes already scattered around the living room and kitchen, thanks to the movers we hired. We had a lot of unpacking to do, judging by the amount of boxes we had, but I was excited for it.
The past two years have been tough on us both, trying to juggle school and work while making time to see each other. And while we did manage to juggle all those things, it was a weight off my chest knowing that we didn't have to do that anymore.
No more going weeks without seeing each other. No more late-night video calls where I just wished he was lying in bed beside me, wanting his warmth and cozy vanilla scent to engulf me.
I would get to fall asleep with him at night in my arms, and wake up with him still there, every single day of the week.
"I still can't believe that this place is ours," Adrien said. When I glanced up he was making his way out of our bedroom, a bright, jubilant smile on his gorgeous face. Our bedroom. I flashed him a soft smile.
"Believe it, baby. This place is our new home, just the two of us together...." I cupped his face with both hands when he reached me and pressed my lips against his.
Adrien kissed me back, his hands finding my shoulders, the tips of his fingers digging in. His lips were soft like angel feathers, and tasted so fucking sweet—I could make out a faint sweetness of strawberries from his flavoured lip balm, my hunger for him increasing tenfold.
Dragging my teeth over his lower lip, I broke our kiss, Adrien leaning into me for more. A soft gasp left his lips when I reached down and gripped under his thighs, lifting him. I sat him up on the back of the couch and stepped between his legs, my hand pressed against his back for support.
I gripped his chin, tilting his head up to attach my lips to his once more. A soft moan vibrated in his throat as I dipped my tongue in, kissing him deeper, forcing him to submit. And of course, he willingly and eagerly accepted my control over him, his hands reaching behind me, gripping the back of my shirt.
Fuck, I would never get tired of kissing him. His lips were sugary sweet like candy and I was addicted, desperate for more. And now that we were living together...I would get to kiss him as much as I wanted.
"You guys are already going at it, huh?" Luka's voice reached my ears, announcing his presence.
I pulled away from Adrien, his cheeks flushed red and breathless. When I turned around, Luka stood just a few feet away with an amused smile, carrying a couple of boxes. Elijah stood next to him just as amused, hugging Latte to his chest.
I flashed him a smirk. "Look, if you want to join in, all you have to do is say so."
Elijah burst out laughing. Luka rolled his eyes as he set down the heavy boxes, shaking his head.
"Been there, done that." He replied.
"Hey, I mean..." I stepped closer. "...You could be there again," I smiled suggestively, a hint of allure in my tone.
Luka raised a brow as he glanced down at me, interest peaked. "Oh yeah?"
"Oh yeah." To emphasize my point, I dragged my teeth over my lower lip, flickering my eyes down to Luka's mouth and then back up to his eyes. He grinned wide.
"Just give me a date and time, baby. I'll come running," Luka purred flirtatiously. I burst out laughing, and Elijah rolled his eyes, shaking his head.
"You guys are idiots," Elijah commented, pressing kisses against Latte's head. He set him down on the floor, Latte's purrs reverberating around the apartment.
"You're just jealous of the love we have for each other," I said. Luka nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, sure," Elijah snorted.
"At this point Elijah, we might as well just run off together and get married," Adrien chimed in as he slid off the couch, wandering over. "Our boyfriends are whipped for each other."
"You know what? You're so right. Grab your stuff, I'll drive the getaway car," Elijah tilted his head towards the door, and just as he turned around to leave, Luka grabbed his arm, tugging him back.
"Where do you think you're going, huh babe? You're coming home with me," Luka pulled Elijah back towards him. Elijah glanced up at him with a raised brow.
"Oh, so now you love me, huh?" Elijah scoffed. Luka smiled down at him.
"I always love you." He leaned down, placing a soft, loving kiss against Elijah's lips. When he pulled back seconds later, Elijah couldn't fight the smile that tugged his lips, a faint blush coating his cheeks.
"You're still not fully forgiven yet."
"Don't worry sweetheart, I'll make up for it when we get home," Luka promised. He gently cupped Elijah's face, stroking his thumb along his cheek.
"That's code for: Elijah is about to have the best sex of his life," I replied, nudging Adrien's arm with my elbow. Adrien flashed me a seriously? look, and shook his head at me. Luka chuckled softly.
"So, do you guys have everything you need?" Luka asked, glancing around the apartment.
"Yup, looks like everything's been brought in." I nodded. "We really appreciate you guys coming over to help us, it means a lot."
"It's really no problem. You guys know that we're always happy to help out when you need it," Luka smiled softly at me.
"The same goes for you both too, you know. Don't hesitate to call us if you need something." Adrien chimed in.
"Yeah, and that goes for anything," I added in a sing-song tone.
"Oh, I know." Luka laughed, his smile widening. "Well, since you guys are good here, we should probably get going now. We have some errands to do of our own this afternoon." He turned to Elijah, placing a comforting hand on his back. "You ready to head out now, babe?"
Elijah nodded his head absentmindedly, his attention elsewhere. When I glanced behind me, I noticed that his eyes were on Latte. He watched as he walked around the apartment, sniffing at all the boxes and furniture.
"I'm gonna miss my sweet little baby so much," Elijah sniffed, eyes glossy with tears. Luka gently rubbed his back.
"You have a key to our apartment, so you can come and see him whenever you want," I reassured him. "Don't worry, Elijah, you're still his other daddy. Always will be."
"I know, I'm just gonna miss seeing him and cuddling with him every day." Elijah reached up to wipe the tears from his eyes, a heavy sigh leaving his lips. I smiled softly.
"I'll be bringing him over for lots of play dates, too," I said. "He and Lucky are best pals, after all, can't ever keep them apart for too long."
Elijah nodded his head. Luka wrapped an arm around his shoulders, pressing a kiss to the corner of his head.
"Come on babe, let's go," Luka told him, rubbing his arm.
"Wait—let me say goodbye to him first." Elijah pulled away from Luka and moved over to Latte. He knelt on the floor, pulling Latte onto his lap, and kissed his head.
After spending a moment petting and hugging him, Elijah let him go and stood back up, making his way back over.
"We're still on for tomorrow night, yeah?" Luka asked. He took Elijah's hand, interlocking their fingers.
"Duh, wouldn't miss it." I laughed. Luka grinned.
After saying one final goodbye, Luka and Elijah headed to the door hand in hand. Adrien followed behind them and waved as they left down the hall, before shutting and locking the door.
I took another glance around the apartment and all the boxes, a heavy sigh leaving my lips. It was a good thing we moved in early. It was still the last week of July, so we had a whole month to settle in before the fall semester started.
Our last year. Fuck, I couldn't believe time flew by so fast. It only felt like yesterday Adrien and I graduated high school and started university, and now, we were two semesters away from graduating with bachelor's. It was insane to think about. But I was excited about it nonetheless.
University was fucking hard, to say the least. And I knew medical school was going to be even harder, but I was ready for it. Well, that's if I could even get in. Leighton has a very competitive MD program, so my confidence level wasn't very high.
Footsteps echoed behind me, and seconds later, arms wrapped around my waist. I glanced over my shoulder and smiled down at Adrien as he hugged me from behind, his cheek resting against my spine. He squeezed me tight and tilted his head up, flashing me a cute smile.
"Hey you," He said. "We should start unpacking."
"Mm...we could," I turned around and pulled him against me by the waist, his arms wrapping around my neck. I leaned down and pressed my lips against his, softly whispering, "...but only after I have my way with you first."
In one swift motion, I slid my hands under his thighs and lifted him into my arms. A loud laugh sang from Adrien's lips, his limbs wrapped around me like a sloth as I carried him to our bedroom, the door slamming shut behind us.
