Usually I have a silly dumb quip in the descriptions of these episodes, but I actually wanted to talk about the content of this episode a little further.
When I was initially writing Harley's character, I wanted to delve into my own personal experiences with having a panic disorder, and explore how it might affect somebody who actively participates in a dangerous lifestyle. So often, panic attacks are portrayed as either a romantic expression of heartache in a gust of wind, or as an explosive display of violence that is dramatized to the point of making the portrayal inauthentic.
The truth is, sometimes, attacks come out of seemingly nowhere. Sometimes, they sneak up on you, and for a small moment into time, you genuinely believe the world is ending, and sometimes it can take days to recover. It was important to me to explore the tole that experiencing these moments can bring to even somebody as outwardly strong as Harley.
Anyway, lesbians amirite??
