(To tell this little story, we'll need to go back in time a little, more specifically, to a morning on Dezembro 25th, when Light was 5 years old.)
Light was doing his daily magic training when he remembered what date it was.
"Today would be Christmas in my old world..." Light murmured.
He stands there with his hand on his chin, thinking about celebrating Christmas.
"But that doesn't make sense..." Light thought. "I should have thought about celebrating Christmas with my family, but they wouldn't understand."
Light didn't remember when the last time he celebrated Christmas was.
In fact, he never liked celebrations in his old life.
Suddenly, Light seemed to get excited. It looks like he thought of something.
He then ran to his house and called William, who was sleeping.
"What do you want?" William said in a sleepy voice and with small eyes.
"I want to tell you a story." Light said excitedly.
Light took his brother out of bed by force, in fact, William let himself be carried away.
Without even changing his pajamas, William went out with Light to find Katerine, who was also sleeping.
After a lot of rocking her, the girl finally wakes up.
Light then takes them to Katerine's backyard, her father was preparing breakfast while they were sitting on the ground.
"I wanted you to hear the story of Santa Claus and Christmas!" Light said excitedly.
"Santa Claus and Christmas!?" Katerine exclaimed excitedly, but she had no idea what Light was talking about.
"Is this some kind of joke?" William asked with a serious face.
"Don't be nervous, William." Light said. "You will hear the best story ever!" A hyperbole.
"I hope you didn't wake me up for anything..." He said.
"Once upon a time, in a land far away and very, very cold, There was a little old man wearing red clothes, with a long white beard, wearing round glasses and a red cap." Light began his story. "This old man had a sled, but it wasn't a simple sled; it was a flying sled, which was pulled by nine reindeer." Light got up and started counting.
William and Katerine began to pay attention to the story. Light had won them over.
"They say that this little man flies around with his sleigh on the twenty-fifth of Dezembro, distributing gifts at night to all the children who were good during the year..." Light finished the story.
"The twenty-fifth of Dezembro!" William said.
"What's the problem?" Katerine asked
"Is today!" William replied.
Katerine raised her head and began to think.
"Hmm... It's true!" She exclaimed.
"Does this mean we're going to get gifts?!" William asked.
"You heard the story. Only good boys and good girls can receive it." Light said.
With that, the two were very excited and even created a certain expectation to receive their gifts.
But only after telling the story did Light realize what he had done.
He was desperate, he didn't know what to do.
After they separated, Light ran to Legório to try to find a gift for both of them...
Night had arrived, and Light had already bought the gifts, so he had to ask Hera for money.
"What do you want to buy with my money?" Hera asked at that moment.
"Nothing important..." Light said as he became nervous.
Hera lent some coins to Light, but before handing it over, she found some way to twist her ankle and fall, scattering the coins; however, this is just a detail.
Returning to the evening, Light's family had dinner normally, while William had a little expectation but still maintained the belief that nothing would happen.
Light, on the other hand, was tense because he would need to place the gifts without anyone noticing.
After dinner, everyone went to sleep. Light stayed up until dawn, hoping everyone was asleep.
He waited until he was sure and then left his room and reached the living room, where the door to the outside was.
Passing from the living room, he reached the kitchen, where he had hidden the gift under tablecloths.
A toy carriage made of wood.
He then took the gift and placed it in front of the door. There was also a small sticker saying, Merry Christmas!
That done, Light now needed to deliver Katerine's gift.
Going to the kitchen again, he picked up a teddy bear he had left in a drawer with the same tag.
To do this, he opened the window slowly, as stealthily as he could, and then left the house in the early hours of the morning.
The crickets and frogs sang at that time of night. The moon shone and made the village roads illuminated.
After Light arrived at Katerine's house, he jumped over the backyard fences with little difficulty.
He had entered Katerine's backyard, but he didn't want to invade the house, so he left the stuffed animal at the door that led to the backyard.
Light could finally breathe a sigh of relief and return home without anyone noticing.
The other day, Richard found William's gift, but luckily for Light, he just dodged it and left the house.
After a few hours, William had finally woken up, and to his surprise, he had woken up before his brother.
He was confused, but he didn't care much.
When he arrived in the room, he came across the toy, which immediately caught his attention.
William hurriedly arrived at the toy and picked it up with his hands, with a sparkle in his eyes.
He then saw the tag and remembered what Light had said the day before.
"Santa Claus exists..." William thought.
At Katerine's house, she had woken up after her father.
When she went to the kitchen, she saw her father holding and analyzing a stuffed bear.
"Good morning." Katerine's father said. "They left this here in front of our door, do you know what that means?" He asked.
Katerine immediately remembered the story of Santa Claus.
She happily took the plush and told her father that it was nothing to worry about.
Katerine didn't know how to read as well as Light and William, but she was able to read the label and thus be sure that Santa Claus had left that gift.
