I wake slowly to the taste of sand in my mouth and a voice screaming my name, a voice I know. Like from a dream, colors swimming in front of my eyes, my head is fuzzy as I try and fail to lift my body from its prone position on the ground. I hear the voice again, but it sounds far away or maybe that's just me. I can't seem to feel the wind blowing sand across the sandy desert even though I should. I can't seem to feel anything. I would be panicking if I wasn't so tired. Slowly my hearing comes back to me and my vision. The next thing I'm aware of is being lifted up into the arms of a traitor. A traitor my heart still yearns for despite knowing what he is, knowing that I never meant anything to him.

"Grant..."

Then my eyes slip closed again as I welcome the darkness of slumber. Using the last reserve of energy I have to speak the name of the man I could never truly hate.
