This is the first time we've (Brad and I) worked on The Whimper in the Dark since last year. It'd been hard thinking about it, and I know we left off on a major downer. At some point, I am thinking of revising the end of the last arc to be a bit less heavy. We'll see. Maybe I will, maybe I won't.
So this year, as with last year, I'm participating in the Words & Pictures 2nd Comic Jam. Their theme was "bubbles." After a bit of brainstorming, thinking of a magical girl story and abandoning that, I got a silly idea for Jack Dog and Julius. I was nervous about working on this comic, especially since Brad and I were looking through pictures of our little doggos. I got a little emotional (as I'm wont to do), but we also found ourselves giggling at the memory of our dogs' expressions and their silly little ticks and eccentricities.
Brad and I had so much fun doing this! I came up with idea, but we both looked things over, he helped with the sculpting (yes, I sculpted for this little contest XD Am I crazy? Probably, but it was fun). Bradman also painted the Jack Dog gazing globe balloon dog, as well as Julius Bubble Love, 2024 (not sure what I'm talking about? Check out the comic!)
There are a lot of cool prizes, and I'd like to win a tablet *O* The competition is tough! Lots of great entries. Please consider checking all the comics out. I would also appreciate a vote to help me along (please do also vote for the other comics you like :D) They have been asking us to promote the event and encouraged our readers to participate in the vote (I think numbers helps with them getting sponsors...but not gonna lie, I also want to win a prize XD).
If you'd like to read the comic and vote, you can find it here at this link:

Read the whole jam at Words & Pictures. Eventually, I will post it to this website, but I would appreciate the help if you can spare it :3 Thank you for your time.
A view into strange happenings as seen not by humans, who miss the events entirely, but rather through the eyes of a mixed rescue dog, Jack, and his not-so-attentive Boston Terrier friend, Julius. Journey with them as horrific terrors constantly threaten their environs, people, and the world around them.
Edward Gorey inspired inking, Charles Addams inspired washes, HP Lovecraft inspired supernatural beings. Authored by Erudyne (Brad) and Blue Dragon (Ashleen).
