In their culture, the line between dating and being engaged is very blurry. It’s also partially because of the “translation” factor (they don’t actually speak English, I just write the comic in it) so some words may not translate with exact meaning. Which is why they’re jumping from “dating” to “formal engagement” (this makes sense I promise)
I hope everyone didn’t forget that he said Mev could be his girlfriend when he was drunk 💀 it’s been a while.
