I was preparing myself for what was coming that night, the gym, where I went to train almost every day, was getting emptier by the day.

 I was only 16 years old, but despite that I felt like I had belonged to that gym for decades. My trainer, already quite old, was getting weaker and more discouraged as the days went by, there were no new people anymore, and my old teammates had ended up quitting or changing sports, therefore there was no money. 

Maintaining the gym was a huge expense for the coach, and as much as I loved the gym, I didn't have enough money to help him, so he was increasingly forced to decide, the sport he loves and appreciates so much, or the money that was becoming increasingly scarce.

Fed up with this, hoping to be able to help the coach who had put so much effort into me, I decided to organize a charity evening as a last attempt to save the gym. My idea was to revive interest in this sport, attract new members and, in the process, raise funds to save my beloved gym, it would be a hard task, but I had to try.

The time for the fight was approaching, I was nervously preparing in the locker room with my coach.

"Ready, champ?" My coach said as he patted me on the shoulder.

Gathering all the determination I could muster, I nodded. “Of course, more than ready.”

“You just focus on giving your best effort, don’t overexert yourself for this old man, although that doesn’t mean you should relax during this fight.”

Staring into his eyes I could see how exhausted he was, no matter what, I had to win this fight. “I know, thanks,” I replied.

After talking to the trainer, I went into the ring more motivated than ever and with only one thing on my mind, to win.
