So this is the map of Marsh Hallows that was given to the mysterious hunter. It may not be complete or accurate, as this was made by hand by an amateur map-maker, but it's the best so far. Marsh Hallows itself is of course not mapped out. It is the heart, surrounded by the seemingly normal but isolated town of Dripwood, and is completely walled in or surrounded by impassable open marshes. Entry is strictly prohibited to anyone but those who live there. The only legitimate way in and out for residents is through the single road and quarter mile long tunnel Zack drove through in the beginning. (Zack and the ones in the car chasing him are all residents of Marsh Hallows, by the way) The map itself is drawn on thin brown paper with ink and colored with a chalky, water-based homemade paint.
So here's some (more) background info for those who are interested:
As was mentioned by the man with fangs, the residents of Marsh Hallows and the surrounding town of Dripwood believe they are unknown to the world. And they are, except to those who live there, the few delivery trucks that are allowed entry, and the ones who have possession of the map. They are completely surrounded by dense forest, rivers and some low hills and the only way in that is not blocked or walled is the single road that runs over three bridges and quite a distance through the forest. When the entrance to Dripwood is reached, there is a checkpoint.
Delivery trucks don't come often so Dripwood is almost entirely self-sufficient, with their own water supply, electricity mini-grid, farms and ranches, and even a cell tower and very limited internet access (computers are rare, but used mostly for education or to order goods that can't be made in town).
Bored yet? It's ok. Most of this will be eventually explained (and more revealed) in-story anyway. I just wanted to write it all out in case someone was interested in the basic logistics of it all. :)
