While she was marinating paneer and vegetables for paneer tikka she drifted into some old memories.

 Tia : Daadi aaj dinner mein kya hai?(Grandma, what's for dinner?)

 Grandma: Tera(yours) favourite Paneer tikka 

 Tia: Oh really. I love you daadi

 She looked at the ceiling and said “kaha ho daadi aap ? Ek aap hi toh thi jo mujhe samjhti thi , ab app bhi mere sath nahi ho. Aap ke alawa mera tha hi kaun ” 

 [ “Where are you granny ? You were the only one who used to understand me. I had nobody in this world except you and now even you have left me.”]

 A drop of tear rolled down Tia ’s eye.

 Soon she was interrupted by footsteps of people outside and the voices of two women talking to each other loudly .

 “Do you know why bhai became so upset in the morning?”

 “You already know the reason for that.”

 “Oh ! god really, bhai has still not moved on from that girl, like seriously yaar. It's been a decade now.”

 “Yeh, ”

 “What are you thinking?”

 “I was thinking that girl must be really gorgeous if bhai is unable to forget her even after years .”

 “Maybe , who really knows,we have never seen his girlfriend. He never told us anything about her. Even we get to know about her existence after she left him and he went into depression. ”

 “Apparently he even went searching for her in another city but when he reached her address where he used to send her gifts and receive gifts from that address, her landlord said that she no longer lived there. ”

 “Oh really”

 “Yeh and even her phone number got discontinued.”

 “He is 30 now, till what time he will wait for her. She is not coming back.”

 “I am just thinking that even if he finds her out, do you really think that she would still be single. ”

 “The chances of her being single is slim and most probably impossible.”

 “Yeh, if he ever finds out she is married then he would be broken.”

 Listing this , Jay’s pale face appeared in front of Tia where his eyes were red “Oh so that's why he looked so upset and his eyes were red. Was he really crying?” she thought to herself.

 Soon her thoughts were interrupted by Sania. She asked Tia “Hello, I came here to refill my jug with water”

 After she got no reply she again asked “Excuse me , Can you give me a jug of water.”

 “Oh..oh Ok ”replied Tia with an awkward smile.

 She refilled the jug with water and handed it to Sania.

 “Thanks, by the way if you don't mind then can I ask you something” said Sania .

 “Ok” replied Tia

 “Where were you lost?I mean what were you thinking?”

 “Nothing” replied Tia with an expressionless face.

 “I also want to ask you something . ” said Sania 

 “Yes, what?”

 “Hey, Can you join us for dinner tonight? More people, more fun.”

 “No, it's ok. I will eat my dinner alone .”

 “Please, we would also feel good if you would join us.”

 “Ok, I will think about it.”

 Sania left the kitchen and after doing all preparations for the dinner Tia left the kitchen and went to her private space.

 She made herself a coffee and took some cookies with her.
