Exciting News! Academy Showdown: Book 0 – An Urban Fantasy is officially being adapted into a webcomic! I'll be writing the series, while the incredibly talented Ink Knight will be bringing it to life with his artwork.
Here’s a sneak peek at some recent flats of Will, John, and Daytona! Ink Knight recently revamped portraits of Hotaru and Chiaki, so he’s now getting into the habit of drawing the rest of Hotaru’s friends.
We also took some time to finalize the designs for Will and John’s uniforms, since Ink Knight hadn’t yet designed anything for Phoenix Military Academy (PMA) or St. Magnus Academy. He wanted Will’s uniform to have a distinct military feel, while John’s needed to reflect his noble upbringing and knighthood training—hence the pelerine (shoulder cape). I also suggested that both uniforms display their school emblems, featuring shields with their respective mascots.
