It's finally here—the official cover for Part 2 of The Barefoot Girl audiobook! Featuring Frida, a character set to debut in the conclusion to this short story. She is voiced by QueenOfBeans. Just like with the first cover, this is captured in a scene from Amos' point of view. As usual, Ink Knight expertly crafted the wonderful artwork—this time clocking in at 12 hours to breathe life into Frida and this particular scene! As always, I appreciate your consistent hard work and dedication to this project, partner! 💪💯

Yo, yo!! So The Barefoot Girl has officially been converted into a podcast audio drama series! A subreddit user I met on r/audiodrama has featured Part I on their audio drama directory site.
And now that we have an RSS Feed link to the audio version of the story, it will be possible to listen to it just about anywhere, so long as I make an account for every audio-sharing site out there. 😅
Anyway, this is a huge honor, and I couldn't be more proud of everyone involved with this project. I will ensure that the presentation in Part II will be leagues better than what was done in Part I.

After a wee bit of development hell, Part 1 of Academy Showdown Gaiden: The Barefoot Girl is finally finished and ready to export! Clocking in at approximately 40 minutes and 2 seconds, this story brings anime (and manga)-inspired storytelling to life in a way I’ve been dreaming of for years.
This short fantasy story—first written four years ago—is based on characters my brother, my best friends, and I have been brainstorming for over a decade. It’s part of a vast fantasy universe we started back in high school, though I’ve only been truly putting it all together for nearly eight years now.
There are still a few final touches before I can officially release it—most importantly, test screenings with my cast and creative partners. Since they’ve worked so hard to bring this story to life, it’s only right that they get to watch it first in its entirety.
Also, check out the official cover art of our titular character! This incredible piece was passionately drawn by my good buddy Ink Knight—as always, he perfectly captured my vision!
I can’t thank everyone involved enough for lending their voices, talents, and enthusiasm. Their support gave me the courage to see this project through. Now, I just have to do the same for Part 2 once this one is out! 😅

This character, a blend of our favorite BlazBlue characters, was created and entrusted to me by one of my best friends, therefore she had to have the ideal voice. I'm pleased to report that we discovered that in Erin Knight. She nailed the character's airy yet mysterious essence right off the bat! I recently showed her work to my friend and he absolutely loved what he heard. 😊
I've still got a ways to go and there's also plenty that I need to fix (including some of my narration). There will be more samples to come as I progress further! 🚀
