"Wow!" Caleb compliments as I walk out of the washroom, "You look different-" I raises my eyebrows at him, "I mean, stunning. Nobody can say you were the same person whom I just see a few minutes ago."

I laugh at his compliment and say, "You fake it until you make it." I ask him to hold my phone while I fix my hair one last time, "When you work in industry like mine, you have to be prepared no matter what the situation is!"

Caleb just roll his eyes, "Thank God, I'm a just a part-time private investigator. Thankfully, I don't have to think much about my look."

"Then how do you get work?" I ask, genuinely, being curious about his work culture. I know a lot of people work in this field; however, I don't understand how it works or how they get paid; especially in his case, because he's not a full-time private investigator. It's his side job, he mainly runs a small burger joint. I was even confused when I went there first time to meet him.

"It's mostly through networking, but skills are what you need to build a strong network." Caleb explains, "With my skills, it's easy for me to track down a person easily as long as they have an identity."

"Identity? What's that supposed to mean? Everyone has an identity, don't they?" I ask, not understanding what he meant. 

When officer Julian introduced me to Caleb, I was on fence whether to trust him or not. But he's way too good at his work that's why I couldn't refuse. The reason I asked for his help to recover the files of death of Nicole Kingstone. 

But aside from that I also to get all the information about Kingstone family members and the people who are close to them. I have some suspicion of mine about the Kingstone family but I have to wait until I find the proofs.

He clicks his tongue and try to explain it to me but he probably doesn't where to start, "Identity- how do I explain?" he thinks for a few second then start to say, "It's more than just being a registered citizen. It's easy to find a registered person information more easily than an unregistered person. You can also determine whether the person is alive or not. But if a person is unregistered citizen and living under a fake name, then you know the drill."

"There's also another issue because sometimes people change their name." Caleb shakes his head in disappointment, "Some even steal missing person's identity to hide their true identity." 

"So, is it possible to find someone who might've changed their name?" I ask, Caleb nods his head, "Of course. I said it's hard but not impossible."

"Then find someone for me." I say as I take my phone from his hand and send him a picture, "I need you to find this woman for me."

"Who is she?" Caleb asks, staring at a very half-burned old picture. 

"Nicole Kingstone's personal assistant. She disappeared right after her death. I tried to find her, but no avail. This is the only picture of her I have." I inform him.

"Fine, let me see what can I find." Caleb says, assuring me. I nod my head.

"Oh," I say, shaking my head, "Let's go, we are getting late."

Caleb wears his mask and cap before we walk toward the door. As I open the door, my eyes widen seeing Eric standing in front of the door; one of his hands up in air as if he was about to knock on the door.

I roll my eyes at him and ask him a very sarcastic tone, "Why are you knocking? I thought you are the boss."

He grins, "Well, yes. I'M THE BOSS." Then his tone softens, "But you are the who have the card. I could've asked Alana for the other card. But you won't like if I came into the room barging, would you? And I didn't knock- YET."

"Fine, I get it. But shouldn't you inform me once that Alana would be here?" I ask, crossing my arms in chest. It's not like I have something against Alana but it'd be better if he had warned me once.

On top of that, Alana and Sarah have same circle of friends which means Sarah will know I was here. I'm sure she'll flip if she learns about this. She never liked me. But after I started dating Eric, she started to loathe my presence. She likes Eric even though she's sleeping with his step-brother whom Eric hates the most.

I don't know how she thinks. If she's trying to make Eric jealous then she's failing- miserably. Eric doesn't care her at all. She's only ruining her life.

And Chris, I know his brain also works in the same way. He probably wants to marry because he thinks his brother still likes me. Although I doubt it's not the only reason why he wants to marry me.

"If I would've done that, then I would've missed all the fun." He says, I stare at him with a confused face. He just smirks at me, "You will see." Then he turns his attention toward Caleb who is standing behind me, "Well, who is this?"

"Caleb. He's the one who's helping me." I say, introducing Caleb. Caleb's face is covered in the mask and cap. But Eric doesn't say anything. Caleb forwards his hand to shake his hand with Eric which Eric gladly accepts, "Caleb, this is Eric. You can ask for his help, if you can't contact me."

"Here take this." Eric gives Caleb, one of his cards before writing down his number on the backside of the card, "This is my personal number so don't hesitate to hit me up if there's an emergency."

Caleb nods his head and takes the card, then he looks at me, "I'm off now. See you later."

"See you." I say as Caleb starts to walk away. I watch him as he quickly away. As soon as, he's out of sight, Eric whispers into my ear, almost startling me, "Do you trust him?"

I look him with displeased expression, "Whom? Caleb?" I sneer at him, "Do I need to? I'm fine as long as he does his work well."

"What if he's a shy? What if he-" 

"Telling everything to that old lady." I cut him off in mid-sentence, "Well, that doesn't matter to me. If I have to escape this cage, then I have to break it anyway. She can spy on me all she wants. But she will never able to guess what am I going to do." I tell him.

"But isn't it suspicious? Who would do this work for free?" Eric counters.

"He's not doing it for free. I'm paying for his meals." I retort.

"Yeah, some burgers with fries and milkshake. It's basically nothing."
