Milo had been staring at his screen for the past ten minutes, refreshing and hoping that the lack of activity was due to some internet error. On his screen was the account of none other than Noel. 

His latest post played on repeat, an interview promoting his most recent drama release with Soha. In the interview, they sat comfortably next to each other and sent familiar glances each other's way. Nobody would have been able to guess that in a week one would send out a post uncovering the other as a sexual abuser. 

"Soha, this question is for you...I see a huge change in your dressing style in this drama. You also must have hit the gym a lot to get to this level for the role?" The interviewer asked, clearly interested in the answer.

To be fair, the drama itself was centered around the theme of emotional attraction triumphing physical attraction, but the question was a sensitive one and Soha looked slightly uncomfortable, not knowing how to answer by the looks of it.

"Oh yeah, Soha and I, we had a very consistent schedule being the main leads. I think while portraying a character throughout a series, it's very important to show gradual progression through things like body changes among others. Soha really surprised me with her endurance though," Noel joked, steering the conversation to another topic smoothly. "After every session with her, dinner felt like heaven's gift. There was this place with really good steak nearby which became a staple for the crew after shooting."

Milo had gushed over the interview multiple times. Now, he inspected every micro expression on their faces, trying to find hints of what could have transpired. 

Noel had not appeared online or offline ever since the discourse started- the worst decision he could have made honestly, since now people either thought he was unfeeling and unempathetic or guilty. 

The message he had sent to Noel's manager remained unseen by the other as well, and Milo honestly didn't know what to do. He did not want to believe that Noel would ever do anything even remotely close to what he was accused of, but he also didn't want to be one of those people who blindly defended their idols simply because of admiration. 

He knew Noel, but he also didn't.

He knew that Noel lived in an orphanage until the age of 13, loved the colour teal, and preferred acoustic to raps and rock music. He did not however know him personally. What kind of a person was he in a romantic relationship? Was he prideful or understanding? Was he the gentle, all sunshine-y or more reserved and collected one in a relationship? Milo naturally wasn't friend, family or partner and therefore knew the answers to none of those questions.

So, Noel could very well be the exact opposite of who Milo thought he was. 

But until there was solid proof, Milo was not taking to attacking the idol he had supported for almost 10 years of his life.

Milo threw his phone aside and lay on his bed. He had edits to make, sponsors to shoot with. Running the fan page had made him a bit of an influencer himself, no matter that he was just a faceless persona online. He just couldn't make a decision on what to do. He had reverted back to defending Noel against the harsher, unnecessary comments online, but since doing that from his real account would be irresponsible (apparently, he was influential now), he had replied angrily to a ton of hate from Sera, his sister's alternate account. 

Yes, he had acted petty. Sue him. It was practically second nature by now.

Suddenly a notification sounded on his phone. The kind he had set for Soha and Noel's official accounts, in case any new developments came to light. Milo leaped to unlock his phone, and seeing Soha had just posted, clicked on the newest page. 

She was apparently replying to another post that had supposed "proof" of Noel's deceptive behavior until now. The caption said- This is how he's always been.

The video was a compilation of clips, all showing Noel in a negative light. He was partying at what looked like a nightclub in one, a bottle in one hand. In another, he was having an argument with a female co-star from one of his previous, less successful dramas. Apparently, she had liked him at one point of time but had gotten rejected, according to inside sources. This clip, however, was captioned: He gets angry at getting rejected and then spins a narrative.

Soha had reposted the clip with simply two sentences.

To all those calling me a liar and sending me death threats, just think of the kind of crime you are supporting. It took me a lot of courage to come out with this, I loved and admired him too.
