For the next three days, Imogen spent time trying to convince the "loser" to become her friend. 

This annoyed the "loser", on a particular Friday he got fed up. "Why do you want to be my friend so bad? is this prank of yours really worth it?" he asks, irritated to the core. Imogen remained calm, she giggled softly "how many times do I have to tell you? its not a prank, I'm really interested in you!". The "loser" blushes, he looks away and lets out a "tch" 'why does she have to look at me that way?' he thought to himself. The art teacher passes by with a paper "partners for this upcoming project" she said nonchalantly. Imogen and the "loser" stare at her and then at each other, she smiles “yay!” she says, clapping her hands together. The "loser" slaps his forehead “oh no…”. 

The art teacher explains the project, a big landscape painting they have to work on. They need to pick a place that they have both visited before. “What’s your name?” Imogen asks to start up conversation “none of your business” the "loser" replies. She chuckles “oh come on, we’re partners right? We should know each other's names!” she said. The "loser" looks at her for a quick second, then he looks away “you go first” he said, looking back at her. Imogen smiles brightly “okay! I’m Imogen, you?”. The "loser" lowers his head “N-...Nathan” he said, embarrassed he stuttered.

 Her eyes softened “that’s a pretty cool name...” she says smiling. “huh…your name is weird, just like you” Nathan said, still trying to distance himself.  Imogen giggles again "okay now that that's done, we should probably start brainstorming.. what places have you visited?". Nathan tried to think of something, but he couldn't really think of anything. "I don't know.." "I know! have you been to the park before? the one down my elementary school?" Imogen interrupts him suddenly. Nathan suddenly remembered that park, he nodded "yeah..." he replied quietly "well then we can just do that one! should we use my sketchbook or yours?" she asked. "Uh...I wouldn't mind using mine" he answered. 

Time skip towards the end of class... Imogen stretches her arms out, tired from all the drawing. The bell rings and she seems a little disappointed. Nathan stares at her as she stares at him “what is it?” he asks, she smiled “can we exchange numbers? maybe we can visit the park together!”. Nathan looks away, he blushed slightly 'is this girl insane? asking someone like me to accompany her to a childhood park?'. "Imogen let's hurry so we don't loose our lunch time!" her friends suddenly yell, she panics "oh dear, here" she says, writing her number down on his sketchbook. "Contact me when you can alright?" she smiled before walking out the classroom with her friends. 

Nathan stares at his sketchbook, he closes it and puts it in his backpack. He packs the rest of his things when a guy named Gabriel suddenly comments behind him. "Looks like even the losers can pull chicks" he teased, Nathan ignored him. Gabriel got irritated, he slapped the back of Nathan's head hard "hey loser, don't ignore me" he said in a harsh tone. Nathan groaned, he turned to Gabriel "what the hell do you want?" he asks, but he quickly backtracks. He let his emotions take control, Gabriel glares at him "hah, you think you're privileged just because she gave you her number?". He chuckles "you're kidding, I've gotten more than you ever will so learn your place." Gabriel passes by Nathan, knocking his things onto the ground.

Meanwhile... Jonathan paces back and fourth, waiting for Imogen. 'Where is she? Why hasn't she came yet? Don't tell me there's another guy involved, with a guy like me they shouldn't even come near her! Ah, my sweet Imogen, where are you? I'm going to go insane!-' "Hey Jonathan" Imogen said, interrupting his thoughts. He smiles widely and his entire body relaxes "Imogen!!" he said, jumping into her arms. She hugs him back gently and smiles "let's go, or we'll miss it!".

Nathan stretches his arms out after finishing his homework, he looks at his clock. 8:00PM. He sighs, “finally done” he says, he decides to sketch as a last practice. As he flips through the pages he comes across the one he and Imogen had worked in. He chuckled as he saw her funny doodles but quickly smacked himself out of it. Nathan then realized that he still had her number. 'Should I text her? ... I don't want to but, I need that grade.'  he pulls his phone out, and sends the number a message. Nathan closes his phone, he blushes slightly 'Goodnight? what the hell is wrong with this girl...'.
