Present time

August came to his senses and dragged himself towards Rhythm .. he held the little body of Rhythm in his arms and remove his restraints...he checked his pulse... It was beating ...he sobbed

"Rhythm.... Rhythm" August cried ...

He pat his cheeks but Rhythm didn't even move an inch... He hugged Rhythm and kissed him on his forehead

"Rhythm.... , please don't punish me like this..

Please open your eyes.... I promise I won't hurt you ever ... Please open your eyes"

But Rhythm was in deep slumber... August found Rhythm's cellphone under the bed and called an ambulance...

August picked Rhythm and put him on the bed..and covered him with a blanket. August fetch a glass of water..and spoon...he took a spoonful of it And squeezed the cheeks of Rhythm slowly letting the water drops inside his mouth ...some drops spilled out of his mouth .... August cried seeing his condition. He repeated the process for several times until the glass was half empty ....

He went to the wardrobe to get his clothes but it was all empty... He looked around and saw suitcase and a small bag... The cloth inside the bag seemed familiar.... he picked it up and it was the night dress that he gifted to Rhythm... He decided to dressed Rhythm in it... He took it out from the bag and a letter fell from the pants...

August picked it up and read it ....

Dear August,

I'm returning this gift from you ... I really don't deserve it ... And you're right I don't deserve you... I'm sorry I hurt you... I did everything to you... I was selfish... I'm very bad... I'm really bad...

You're right an orphan like me will never understand love... I don't know how to love... I've never felt it for anyone of course  who would love someone like me.. but you came to my life and filled it with warmth, happiness and love ...the time I've spent with you is one of the best time of my life..... You're the light of my lonely life but since you don't want to be with me ... There's no use of me living here anymore .... By the time you got this letter i won't be there... I would be gone forever... I don't know where I'm going... I don't know what I'm to do .... But I would never show you my face again

And , em... You can keep my prize money and I've already written a letter to the judges that I'm incompatible for them as a singer and I ran off... And I  want them to choose you for it... Please accept this as my apology... I'm sorry I couldn't do anything more for you...

August could see tear drops on the letter he could feel everything word of it....he pulled Rhythm to a hug...

"Why... Why were you thinking of running away from me ... I never wanted you to disappear from me ..yo...u you're very bad ... How can you think of leaving me like this "

August picked up Rhythm's cellphone... And answered his call

"Hello uncle ?"

"No brother August it's me Steve... Is brother with you ?" Steve asked happily

August was in a dilema whether to tell them the truth or not ..

"This brat... I told him .. to break up with him but he's hanging out with him .... Shameless" August could hear Mike cursing them

"Pa please don't say that "

"Let him do as he wants but once his graduation is over he'll live this house and we'll break all ties with him"

August heard Mike saying all these and finally spoke

"Steve give your cellphone to your uncle "

"But "-

"Give him now " August said in a stern voice

Steve gave his cellphone to Mike...

"What is it ?" Mike shouted angrily

"If you ever think of Rhythm as a human being please stop cursing him". August spoke

"Who are you to talk to me like this "

"If you would have known what happened to him you wouldn't say this " August cried ,"he... He's lying lifelessly before me  in your house "

"What " Mike's voice broke down

August explained everything to him that has happened and Rhythm's condition

"Please save him... Please save him son... Please take my son to a hospital" Mike pleaded to August

"I've already called an ambulance uncle.. they'll arrive soon..."

"We are returning today please take care of him we're leaving now " Mike said

"I'm taking him to hospital and I'll tell you all the details " August said cutting the cellphone

He quickly dressed Rhythm in a loose and comfortable clothes and when the ambulance came... They went to hospital in a short span of time... and when they reached hospital...He picked Rhythm in his arms and ran to the OTT

"There's an emergency please" he cried

The hospital ward boy and everyone brought a stretcher for Rhythm and took him to OTT ... But still August wasn't leaving Rhythm .... The nurse gestured August to leave him

"Mr... Can you please keep him on the bed ?" The nurse asked

August shook his head ," there's no way I'm leaving him "

"Mr we've to do our procedures please" he said

August was still holding the hand of Rhythm

"If we make any more delay we can lost him forever" the doctor said to August

He left his hand immediately and fell on the floor... And elderly nurse helped him to sit on the chair

"Alright son.... Nothing would happen to him"

August cried more... He never thought something like this would happened when he left Rhythm alone... He should have stayed with his little capybara and forgave him ....he called his brother from Rhythm's cellphone and told him everything... His brother would arrive soon..

A hospital ward boy came to him with some papers...

"Mr August please sign this " he gave August a paper

"What is is ?

"This is consent form.... If anything happens to him we're not responsible" the ward boy said without any expression

"No..no... I'm not gonna sign this and nothing will happen to him... Mind your words " August warned

"We're sorry we couldn't operate unless you sign this papers... Please co-operate " the ward boy said

"Sign it son " the elderly nurse said ," he'll be fine... But we've to operate him first... please sign this "

The nurse assured August and he took the pen with trembling hands..... He signed the papers without reading anything... They took the papers and went away

The proceedings started

He checked Rhythm cellphone and cried ... Rhythm called crocodile 15 times and messaged him asking for help ... He recognised it as his number... Now he remembered Rhythm was calling him continuously and he cut it every time and not only that he broke his cellphone ...

Rhythm called him around 8 pm and he saw Rhythm the next day at 3 pm...he was dying at the thought of the pain Rhythm went through all those time

He didn't break his cellphone that day he broke the trust of Rhythm... And now he loathes himself for it ... He considers himself guilty for Rhythm's condition if he has picked up his cellphone...no... If he hugged his little cub and took him with him that day this wouldn't have happened...

"This happened because of me .... I couldn't take care of my cub " he cried

Weeping after everything that happened with them honestly I feel bad for Rhythm and August too.... let's see how the story upholds
