Before there was unity, there was chaos: a cave-dwelling lute player named Yellow, a beetle-loving hermit named Shy, and a bodybuilding romantic named McDoogle—all clowns, all undocumented, and all deeply confused about how babies happen.
This is the story of how a scattered band of "real clowns" (not the painted kind) found each other through comics, contortion, and canned fish. From tightrope criminals to comic book visionaries, from banana-pudding ice cream to secret clown biology, this is an origin story stitched together with tragedy, jelly, romance, and maybe a little horse manure.
At its core, The Clown Nation Origin Story is about belonging—about finding your people even when your only mode of transportation is a bus that doesn’t ask for ID.

Topaz had purple hair and a pair of fancy glasses. Her shoes were clean, but her hands shook when she adjusted them.
The air around them held an atmosphere of regret, and a spirit of confusion clung to the soles of their feet.
“I didn’t know we’d end up fighting those cats,” Ric Rac said.
Topaz didn’t respond right away. Somewhere behind them, a balloon popped. Nobody flinched.
