As promised, here is the artbook for Dreamseer. I thought it would be good to start with some of the concept art for Aster. He's definitely changed a bit from the very first time I sketched him out back in November of 2023. I've written down some notes on the sketches, but I'l also write a little bit about it for the sake of those who won't be able to make out my messy writing, which is probably most of you. I still like to write little noes now, especially since I have a display tablet now! Anyway, let's get on to the art!

This is the very first sketch I made of Aster! I ended up changing the collar and making the little cape longer, as modeled by Doodle-Aster. He also gives off a more serious and mature sort of vibe, but we know better now. His earring changed a little bit too. Like his glasses, they have sigils carved onto them, but you won't see those because they're tiny, lol. 

Fun fact time! Even though I always draw him with the silver, crystal, and obsidian (I think it was obsidian...) brooch, he doesn't actually wear it until the second season. It's design changed a little bit since the OG sketch, but my new doodle of it is accurate to what it looks like now.

Next, we have another concept sketch of Aster! This one is his incognito look. You might also know it as the look he wore to get himself a husband. 

And here's a close-up of him. I made him progressively younger/cuter. I like to think it's because Calixtus makes sure he eats and sleeps more so he's healthier now. He also always looks kinda smug, or like he knows something no one else does, which I guess is usually true, lol.
