That same afternoon, back home, as soon as I arrived, I threw myself on the bed and started checking my cell phone, when I got a message from my best friend Homer.
**Message from Homer:**
Homer: Hey, wanna go out for a bit?
**Dax's reply:**
Dax: Not today, I'm not feeling up to it.
**Message from Homer:**
Homer: Hey, come on, cheer up, the year is just beginning.
**Dax's reply:**
Dax: Mmm... okay, but just for a little while.
At that moment, I got out of bed, put my cell phone on charge, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. After a few minutes, I got out of the shower.
“What a nice shower,” I said as I dried myself off, put on a blue short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, grabbed my cell phone, my wallet, and my house keys.
After walking for a few minutes, I arrived at the place where I was going to meet my friends, since Homer had invited them. When I arrived, I saw Jaz, Homer, Andrew, and Just, and I greeted them with a hug, since I hadn't seen them in months.
Dax: Hey, long time no see!
Homer: Hahaha, you say that, but we live close by.
Andrew: That's true. The three of us live close by and we never go out.
Jaz: Well, at least you guys live close by. I live far away and I don't even go out.
Just: I'd better not say anything because I live here, but not that close to these three.
Homer: Hey! We didn't come here to talk, we came to hang out and eat!
Dax: *Scratches his nose* Oh, impatient as always.
Homer just laughed and stuck his tongue out at me.

As we walked, we passed by a place with cultural music. I stopped to watch the band play, remembering how my older brother used to play the drums and how I've always admired him. Before I knew it, my friends had already joined the crowd to dance.
Max: *Sigh* Here we go again... *I joined the crowd and finally let go of my fear and started dancing with my friends.*
Homer: That's it, Max!
Dax: Shut up! I'm not good at this!
At that moment, I remembered that the day before, I had gone out for a walk with my mother, and she had always wanted to dance with one of her children. Since my brother never fulfilled that promise... well, I did, even posting about it online.
Just: Really?! Because you seem to have talent.
Dax: If you say so...
After hours of laughter, dancing, and lots of food, I finally returned home. I went into my room and sat down in my chair in front of the computer. I turned it on, entered my password, opened my chats... and realized that the classmate I had talked to on the 14th had seen my status dancing with my mother. I felt embarrassed... but I asked myself: why?
