Today I have a bit more concept art for you all to take a look at, along with a little sketch I did this week! Hope you all like it and, as always, please bear with my random commentary. 

First up, we have Beryl! I wanted to have her look dignified, serious, clever, and not at all as snarky as she can be, lol. She's very unlike Adamos in terms of how flashy she is with her accessories. Because she's a healer, most of her tools are herbs and other materials to treat people. Beryl's still very good at other types of magic, she just likes developing magic based medicine and treatments. I like to think of her as a very curious person who's devoted to her work--so, a lot like Aster but not nearly as deranged.

Next we have Quinn! I love Quinn, he's always willing to call out Aster even though he's Quinn's superior. He doesn't have a lot of magic power, so he works best at composing spells--spellcrafting. Aster likes to ask him to double check his work because Quinn thinks outside the box, but also because it's a good way for Quinn to learn while working. 

Quinn doesn't wear any accessories other than his glasses. He prefers to spend his time crafting things for others rather than for himself. Also, Aster keeps him busy, lol. He's probably the most normal of the mages, something he's very aware of. 

Now on to Hildegarde! This was a piece I recently finished even though I started on it a while back. That's something I'll probably say a lot in this book...

Anyway, Hildegarde is great, she's one of my favs because she's very caring but also very willing to call people out. She grew up rather isolated because of her dream walking abilities, so Aster is probably her only friend. Hildegarde has very strong magic and a better grasp on her ability as a dream walker than Aster has on his dreamseeing. She's also probably better in the common sense department, lol. She loves horse back riding, reading, and keeping up with the gossip from the capital. 

And finally, here's a little doodle I made this weekend during a break. I had young Aster in mind so here he is, being chaotic. He's probably reading something he shouldn't, but Adamos is terrible at hiding things and Aster was smart enough to head to the rafters, lol. 

I might clean it up or maybe even finish it one day, who knows. For now, sorry about the bad perspective and messyness. Anyway, hope you've liked this latest batch!
