Whenever I go back to a place I have not visited since I was a child, I am always surprised by how small things are there. I visited a house I had not been to since I was twelve once as an adult and it seemed as though the tree in the garden had shrunk. The smell, flowers, and sunlight all seemed the same, but the tree seemed far too small, making it seem as though I had never actually left and only that one tree had changed. When I think about it though, that tree was probably the only plant there that has not changed much at all.
