EZIKLE
After departing from Felicity, I find myself in my living room, head buried in my hands, overwhelmed by the feeling that I'm completely mismanaging everything. I confessed to her that I wasn't human, yet I failed to reveal what I truly am or the significance of her existence in my life. A frustrated groan escapes my lips as I rise to pace the room. Something is changing within her, but I can't even grasp what she truly is. I sense her transformation, but into what, I cannot discern; she possesses a power that eludes my understanding. When she teleported, I caught a fleeting glimpse of her aura, pulsating with untapped potential.
Stopping my pacing, I shout, "ALEX!"
My driver, who is also my assistant, rushed in, responding, "Yes, your Majesty?"
I instructed him to investigate my mate's birth parents, specifically checking the records from the Netherworld this time. He bows and dashes out to fulfill my request. I collapse into a chair, elated to have finally found my mate after all this time, yet I struggle to assist her while something unknown is unfolding within her. Just as this thought crosses my mind, a sharp pain surges through my body, forcing me to clutch my chest. It arrives suddenly and fades just as quickly, but a nauseating sensation seeps into my very bones—I can't feel her! I had been maintaining a low profile by driving everywhere, but this time, I disregarded caution and teleported straight to her room. I flung open her balcony door and rushed inside, only to find her missing. The bathroom door stood ajar, so I stepped in; the tub was filled, yet she was nowhere to be found. As I touch the water, realization strikes me instantly. Mushussu, that treacherous snake! My brother, who has harbored hatred for me for as long as I can remember, I banished him the moment I ascended to the throne. He has taken my mate, and it appears he has been monitoring my every move. With a groan, I teleport to his castle, fully aware that he is likely anticipating my arrival.
FELICITY
As soon as Mushussu said Ezekiel is the ruler of all things supernatural, my eyes felt as if they might burst from my head. After a brief pause, I sighed, accepting that my life had taken an unexpected turn and was no longer ordinary. I could no longer deny the existence of supernatural beings, and it appeared that my parents and I were among them.
I glanced at him and asked,
"Your Majesty, do you know why the Demon King is in my world?"
He met my gaze and replied,
"Please, call me Mushussu. I have no idea why my brother is in your world; that's why I brought you here to ask you, remember?" He smiled.
I chuckled,
"How could I forget when I was naked!"
We shared a laugh, but then I recalled what he had said,
"Wait, your brother! You mentioned you'd mark me, and even the Demon King wouldn't be able to save me. What did you mean by that?"
He took my hand, looking me straight in the eye, all traces of playfulness gone,
"I will not allow my brother to be happy, so I will take anything he desires, including you."
He traced circles on my hand before cupping my face and crashing his lips onto mine. I gasped in shock, which only served as an invitation for him to plunge his tongue into my mouth. Initially startled, I considered pushing him away, but instead, I found myself kissing him back. I was unsure what had come over me lately, allowing men to kiss and touch me when I had never even had a boyfriend before. As I kissed him back, he wrapped his arm around my waist and effortlessly lifted me onto his lap. Without hesitation, he had me straddling him in the chair, kissing me until I could hardly breathe. His hands explored my body, but my dress restricted his access, causing him to groan in frustration. He stood up, carrying me in a bridal style as he teleported us to what I presumed was his room. Before I could take in my surroundings, he dropped me onto his bed and began removing his clothes while looking down at me. That’s when I snapped back to reality and pushed myself back until I hit the headboard. He smiled at me as he climbed into bed. "Stop right there!"
I extend my hand to halt his advance,
"I’m still a Virgin and this doesn’t feel right, please just let me leave."
His grin widens with pleasure as he quickly hops off the bed and strides out of the room. I’m left in shock, did he actually heed my words and is letting me go? Just as that thought crossed my mind, Miranda and several maids burst into the room, announcing they needed to change my clothes. I assumed they would dress me in something modern and send me back home, but when I caught a glimpse in the mirror, I realized this outfit was not meant for my return. Miranda and the maids had slipped away while I stood there, overwhelmed with nervous energy and fear. I was clad in a sheer slip dress, leaving nothing to the imagination. Suddenly, the door creaked open again, and I heard the unmistakable sound of it locking behind him. I spun around to face him. As he approached the bed, he commanded,
"Come here, Felicity, don’t make me ask twice."
He was completely bare, patting the bed invitingly, and a chill ran through me as I began to tremble. I moved towards him but instead of climbing into bed, I sank to my knees at his feet, pleading,
"Please, don’t force me into this, I want to share this moment with someone I love, I’ve been saving myself, please!"
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I gazed up at him, desperate for his understanding. He merely tightened his grip on my chin and growled,
"Get in the bed before I lose my patience and hurt you, and still get my way!"
His voice thundered, causing me to flinch; just moments ago we were laughing and enjoying each other’s company, and now he was demanding sex without my consent. With no other choice, fearing the consequences of defiance, I climbed into the bed. He positioned himself over me and tore the slip from my body, making me sob anew as his hands explored every inch of me. Just as he was about to penetrate me, the door burst open, slamming against the wall and shattering into fragments, and in strode Ezekiel, looking furious.
"BROTHER! How dare you take what belongs to me!"
He yanked Mushussu off me and hurled him against the wall.
Mushussu groans as he pulls himself away from the wall and chuckles,
"So brother, she is your mate! I have some exciting news for you!"
His grin is mischievous as he locks eyes with Ezekiel. Ezekiel approaches me, shrugging off his peacoat and draping it over my shoulders, which I gratefully accept. He exhales deeply and turns back to his brother, who is still glaring at him,
"What is it brother, what news do you have?"
Mushussu beams with delight as he replies, "She is also my mate, it seems you won't be able to keep her all to yourself."
Ezekiel's eyes widened in shock, "No! I won't allow it, even if she is your mate too!"
I interject, needing clarification,
"What exactly is a mate?"
They both turn to me, and Mushussu eagerly speaks over Ezekiel before he can respond, clearly excited to explain.
"A mate is someone you are connected to, meaning you share a part of your soul with that person. If you reject your mate, you lose a part of yourself and may either go insane or die. I gaze at them for a moment, too shocked to utter a word as I process this revelation, realizing I have mates who are linked to me. This is incredibly perplexing; I can't grasp it at all.
"What does it mean to be a mate?"
I ask them, hoping for a clearer explanation than the one I received.
Ezekiel responds,
"Being a mate signifies that the instant you discover each other, a bond is formed; you fall in love more easily because of an undeniable connection. That's why, when you see me, you feel compelled to be near me and accept my love."
I rise, pulling the jacket around myself as I begin to pace the room. It now makes sense why I could be so comfortable with Ezekiel, even though I had never kissed or touched any man before. I turn my gaze sharply to Mushussu,
"So if I turn you down, you'd either go mad or perish?! I should reject you for what you were about to do to me!"
His eyes grow wide as he rushes towards me, dropping to his knees before me, still bare from earlier. A king kneels before me, a sight I never imagined I would witness. He pleads,
"Please don't turn me away! The instant I laid eyes on you and felt your skin, I knew you belonged to me, but my animosity towards my brother overwhelmed me. I genuinely regret my intentions; I became too caught up in my emotions and will accept any punishment you deem fit, just please don't cast me aside. I implore you, allow me to atone for every wrong I have done to you."
I can sense his sincerity, but how can I ever place my trust in him again after this?
"I want to have faith in your words, but how can I trust you after what has transpired!?"
