On May first on a beautiful sunny day, Dr. Henry Jekyll and Dr. Katherine Vice wed. The wedding party consisted of Will Jekyll and little Richard Utterson as the ring bearers, Utterson as the best man, Emily as her uncle Henry’s chaperone down the aisle and a bridesmaid, Lucy Harris as the maid of honor, Pinocchio as an usher, Prof. Polendina as Katherine’s emotional chaperone, and Louis the cockatoo as the “flower bird”. On top of that, for the first time, Katherine walked with confidence in public and did not try to hide her face. During the reception, the Jekylls, Polendinas and Uttersons gathered together talking and enjoying the party.
“Congratulations, you two. You deserve all the happiness in the world.” Utterson shook Jekyll’s hand.
“Heh, have you got any advice for us as a married man yourself, Utterson?” Jekyll asked.
“My advice is... DO NOT take other people’s advice. Do what is right for yourselves not what is the popular opinion.” he winked.
“You two did a splendid job on all this. I love these flowers.” Camilla admired them.
“I love the cake, uncle Henry!” Will enjoyed a slice as did Richie who made a slight mess of his face and Louis was also enjoying some cake.
“I love that ya’ll asked me to cater the drinks. This kind of event really helps my business.” Lucy poured drinks for them “Hmm... maybe I should offer this kind of service regularly.”
“Speaking of business, I heard that you are officially spearheading research in neo-prosthetics, Prof. Polendina. And that you are considering a career in detective work, Pinocchio.” Jekyll turned to them.
“Aw, you can congratulate Pinocchio and me later. Today is YOUR day, Jekyll. Enjoy it.” Prof. Polendina patted his shoulder firmly.
“So what do you intend to do now that you are married, uncle Henry? Do you plan on making some big changes in your life now?” Emily asked.
Jekyll looked at everyone and even at Hyde in the mirror of the wall revealing that he too was dressed up.
“Well... some things are going to change as I am married now, but... I’m still going to be me and still going to do what I do best, Emily.” Jekyll replied.
“Say, uncle Henry, what do you think Mr. Hyde is doing now?” Will asked curiously.
“I-I don’t know... though if I had to guess, he’s in the company of good friends right now, Will.” the good doctor theorized.
“Do you think HE will ever get married, uncle Henry?” the little boy asked.
The question made Jekyll, Hyde and Lucy blush.
“Ah... I... I think that’s between him and his sweetheart, but if he does, let us hope that he too will never change as he is needed and beloved the way he is.” Jekyll winked at Hyde in the mirror while raising his glass.
Gheppettot then recalled something “Oh, I almost forgot. There’s another doctor that I think you and Katherine should really meet. I met him during one of my trips in Berlin, Germany. He’s kind of mysterious, but a brilliant doctor and you’ll never meet a kinder or more honorable man. He’s known as Dr. Prometheus.”
London's odd dynamic duo is back since Sir Carew is at it again since Prof. Gheppetto Polendina and his son Pinocchio came to town. The professor is also Dr. Katherine Vice's old mentor and he has shared his upcoming project that which change medical science for people. However, Carew wants private ownership while Gheppetto wants to share it with the world. That alone put a target on his back. Between protecting them, both Jekyll and Hyde's current relationship dramas, and Pinocchio being a total trouble maker, this is case is not going to strange. Just a pain.
