Kimiko comes from a large family in which she is the youngest. Suzanne, by contrast, is the older sister in her family (to her younger brother Bobby). An idea I keep in the back of my head is that Kimiko latches onto Suzanne very quickly because she picked up on the "older sibling vibes".
